"Ryan..." Sharpay said through gritted teeth, she was fakely smiling at her idiotic brother. "I'm sure Kelsi here doesn't want to hear about boring stuff like that, right Kelsi?" Sharpay laid a hand on the novice composer's shoulder and smiled at her. Before an answer could be given Sharpay continued, "Of course not. Anywho, I have to go change into my Les Mis outfit while there's still time. Cio!" The diva stood and left her salad uneaten, prancing down the stairs and towards the door.

Gwen had finished 'fixing' herself and walked back into the hallway looking new, thanks to Taylor. Taylor was so nice, Gwen was so pleased she ws meeting so many great people...and then there was Sharpay. She was sure Sharpay /could/ be nice, she was related to Ryan after all, it was just the whole outfit fiasco that had caused her fury. On her way to the cafeteria Gwen bit her lip and got to Ryan's number on her phone. She stared at the pic for a moment, knowing she only had a few minutes left but she needed to know things were okay between them. She hit send and put the phone to her ear, standing at the loud cafeteria's doors. His phone went straight to the message machine, Gwen felt relieved but also sad. 'Well, I guess it would be better to talk things out in person.' She thought just as the phone 'beeped' it's permision for her to start her message. "Ryan, it's Gwen. Litsen I wanted to talk to you...umm...what are you doing tonight? Maybe we can meet someplace. Okay, thanks, call me back-bye!" Gwen hung her phone up and leaned against the hallway's wall, in deep thought.

Ryan watched his sister go, then he looked back at Kelsi with a confused look on his face. He took a sip of his milk in front of him and sighed. What to do now? He had finished his sandwich and his apple, he had a cup of chocolate pudding left. And now he glanced over at his sister's salad, she had barely touched it! This only concerned him because he knew she would be hungry later. He took it and clipped the plastic lid back over it, to save it for her for later.
As he was doing this he realized Kelsi was still there and started to talk to her, "So, do you have any plans for the dance yet?" It was the first thing that had popped into his head. Of course Ryan hadn't thought about how awkward this question would be. His cell phone buzzed and he glanced at it. One new message...he could check it later.

Xander nodded his head, "Alright, so books." He was having a difficult time thinking of things to talk about to this guy, "And guitar, are you in a band? Oh! And steer clear of Miss Darbus," he leaned closer, letting him in on the know, "if she knew that you had any musical talent at all she'd put you on stage." Xander looked over at Zach, "And what about you man, do you play guitar too?"

zach was just about to bite into his sandwhich when he heard his name "hu? wha- oh no I dont" he answered "I guess I am more into um sports" It was true zach was "into" sports but never considered himself a jock, even if he did play as much if not more than any other jock here. But in his old school zach found it very hard to be known for high grades and winning spelling beas AND known for playing sports. So he just found it easyer to not have a title at all.

"Sports..." Xander was confused, he didn't know what social group these two fit into now. One likes to read and play guitar, guess that would be loner/bookish type, the other is into sports. Well, that would automatically fall into jock, of course this guy didn't seem like a total jock. He did dress like a skater after all. Xander took a bite of his pizza and then said, "Well, it's nice to meet you guys, if there's anything you need to know about the school, the teachers, the status quo, feel free to ask."

Kelsi felt as if the room had grown suddenly colder when Sharpay spoke to her brother. The bespectacled girl was unsure if to answer at first, and all thought of it were driven away the moment Sharpay touched her shoulder. It was unusual for Sharpay to be nice at all, and Kelsi felt quite a bit frightened that she seemed to be doing so. She walked away and Kelsi sighed in relief that the tension seemed to be driven away with Sharpay’s departure.
She looked to Ryan with a rather questioning look, for he seemed to understand Sharpay’s mood swings and motives more than anyone. She saw him recover her salad, and Kelsi was a bit surprised. It seemed as if Ryan was watching out for her and it surprised her that someone who was related to Sharpay so closely could be so…not like her.
She turned back to her sandwich and was about to finish it when Ryan spoke. She continued to stare at the bread and what was hopefully meat, entirely sure of what to say. “I…no.” she said, daring to look back at the boy.

"Thanks." He said, no real emotion showing. He was sort of an enigma to others because of his silence and lack of spirit. He was just increadibly shy, as in, really, /really/ shy. Oz was afraid that Xander might think he was /too/ shy, he wasn't. He didn't pee if you looked at him, despite common belief...okay..maybe if you /talk/ to him. (Sarcasm) He really didn't like being noticed, even though when he played guitar he sometimes daydreamed that he was performing for an audience. It was sort of a dream of his, not being a rocket scientist and being couped up in a lab by himself, but being in front of people and having them enjoy his music...and more importantly, him. Studies just felt safer, though, so he stuck to that, out of the way and safe in his comfort zone.

Ryan opened his pudding and started eating. He nodded at Kelsi who had answered him. She was very quite but she always seemed like a nice person. "Me ether." It was true no one had asked him yet but, he had a week, he wasn't too worried. Plus he had to coordinate outfits with them, he wasn't sure if he would have to buy something new or mix and match with his already assembled wardrobe. That reminded him, he had to change for tonight while he still had time.
Ryan finished his pudding and put his trash into his brown paper bag. He stood up and put his messenger bag over his shoulder, while also picking up his sister's salad. "See ya." He said to the shy composer as he left the table. He made his way down the stairs and threw his trash into the trash can. Ryan pushed the double doors open and exited into the hall, heading for his locker to get a change of clothes.
(on to the theater...aka detention)

Cordelia groaned in annoyance as the super-cheerleader girl never came back through the doors. It seemed they would have to approach her when they saw her next. They had to do this quickly before she got involved in any other after school activities. She finished her salad and stood up, leaving her trash at the table. Harmony stood up as well and followed her out the double doors and into the hall.
(lol, Harmony was originally just going to be a temp. character but it looks like I might actually end up adding her to my clump of characters ^^ To the hallways I suppose)

Kelsi nodded slightly when he left, for some reason finding it odd that he didn't have plans for the dance yet. She wasn't sure why, but it seemed as if he would already have something planned. She found herself wondering why she seemed to think that way, before shrugging to herself and finishing her food. She threw out her garbage before heading towards the stairs.
She found her way through the jumble of tables befor eheading towards the door; perhaps she would have enough time after lunch.
