A girl in a brown sleeveless dress, the brown fabric hugged her upper body but silky and shiney fabric flowed from the bottom of this. It washed over other rolls of the same fabric and shimmered under the lights. It had blue, cream, and brown polka dots. It came to the girl's perfectly built upper calves. Brown tights and brown heels with bows on them finished the outfit. A black headband was on her head, her golden bangs to the left of her face while more blond tussets rolled onto her bare shoulders. She was smiling, excitement sparkling in her eyes. This was Gwen-Stacy Panettiere.
She twirled in front of her mirror, the flowing skirt twirled with her and stopped when she did. She couldn't wait to see Ryan's reaction. Gwen sat at the end of her bed and bounced anxiously, her clutch besides her and cellphone besides that.
(The dress is the one I borrow from Danie sometimes, Ry.)

((Great! ^^ Perfect for swing dancing!! I'm going to just write here anyway, even though we aren't done with the other thread...we know this takes place after the 'I need to do this' thread))
Ryan slid into the black leather drivers seat of his dad's red 2007 corvette coupe. It wasn't the most expensive car that his dad owned but, his dad didn't leave all of the cars at the house. Some were in his own private garage. This one happened to be at the house and it was an automatic. Ryan couldn't for the life of him drive stick.
People really didn't know that Ryan could drive. Mainly because his sister always drove him everywhere... Yeah, Ryan knew how to drive, he just didn't really have a license. His dad pulled some strings and had gotten him a temporary license that he could use in case of an emergency, since Ryan only had a permit. ((lol, I was like, oh crud, Ryan doesn't have a license!))
Ryan started the car and immediately changed the XM radio from sports talk to soft rock/pop. He liked to listen to Broadway showtunes but since Gwen was going to be in the car he thought he should have something she might be comfortable listening to. He exited the garage, and the courtyard up to the gate. The iron gate opened automatically and he drove the car onto the street. He looked at the little GPS screen, "GPS, 133 Springmont Dr." It immediately responded, putting in the directions.
He flipped open his phone to call Gwen, he find her name and pressed send. He held the phone up to his ear as he drove.

Gwen bounced on her bed, chewing on her lower lip and looking around her room anxiously. Her hand curled around the edg of the bed on her left and her right hand was on her phone.
"Heey Julieeeet, Hey Juliet!" The sound of Ryan's personalized ring shouted at her. The voulume had been turned up amazingly loud thanks to her nervously fidgeting with it. With a squeal of surprise she flung it up and open and to her ear, and the momentum of her fling + her silky sheets = "Hi-EEEP!" KERKLANK!
This was how Gwen answered Ryan, now she lay, her head bent with her chin to her chest, back curled, and legs still on her bed. She was between the bed and her desk, laying very uncomfertably. "Ow.." Gwen muttered. It was amazing she could walk on her own without killing herself, let alone be a cheerleader. "Um, Ryan?" She asked, wincing from pain and emberassment, hopefully, by some freak chance, he hadn't heard all...that.

Ryan heard Gwen's voice chime a happy hello on the other line. He smiled when he heard her voice. "Hel-" His smile quickly faded though when he heard a lot of noise coming from the receiver. It sounded ether like something had fallen down or, a train had hit the house. Ether way it didn't sound good.
He then heard her say his name in a questioning tone. Well, that ruled out the train wreck theory...unless she was invincible or something. He realized he hadn't responded to her yet and she was probably was wondering if he was still there. Ryan then asked in a somewhat concerned tone. "Are you ok?"

She rubbed at her head, trying hard to multitask. Pull skirt down, untangle self, and answer phone. "Yeah, I just kinda...slipped." She frowned at the thought, her being a cheerleader and all she was expected to be graceful. And she was! If you didn't count when her face would accidentaly make contact with the floor.
"So," Finally Gwen was up again, tugging at her gown and fixing her hair, smiling though she was sure that bruises would be developing on her back and legs. "Are you almost here?"

"Oh." Ryan smiled, happy that she wasn't hurt. Well, if she was she hadn't told him, it was kinda hard to tell over the phone.
"Make a left turn here." the GPS told him.
He rounded the corner, finally on her street. "Yeah, I'm already on your street." He thought he should probably get off the phone now, "I'll see you in a few." He waited for her reply before flipping the phone closed.
Ryan parked his dad's car on the curb and walked up to the door of her house. He rang the doorbell and waited. He was wearing a black suit jacket with a blue and white shirt that had a few sparkles in it underneath. He then wore white pants and with a darker belt and shoes to match. His final touch was his black fedora with a white ribbon around the cup part of the hat.
((ack, sorry about the shortness...and I kinda had to speed it up))

"Okay..." Gwen sighed, snapping her phone closed and grabbing her bag. She rushed to the front of the house-well, not rushed...when you're a klutz rushing is a big no-no. She fast-walked to the front of the house, and opened the door. There he was, and oh how he sparkled. (I just watched the Last Unicorn...omg, so funny)
"Hi Ryan!" She grinned, bouncing happily. Her father, a tall man in a white button up shirt and jeans, aproached. He was balding, but it didn't make him look old, and he was very fit. His face was sweet looking but mildly aged. He grimaced a smile while his eyes scanned Ryan. His hand protectively was placed on Gwen's shoulder.
"Hi, Ryan.." His voice was higher than expected but came out with an acidic bite to it. He was not as thrilled as his daughter to see Ryan.

Ryan mouth hung open as he saw Gwen, she looked stunning! He loved the old fashion look to her outfit and it also went perfectly with his. He loved it when outfits matched.
He finally managed a, "Hi." as he smiled at her. Then he saw her father. He was a tall man that had a ruff look to him. Ryan's smile didn't falter, not really thinking of this as a date and not ready thinking at all. He spoke to the man, "Oh, hi Mr. Penettiere."
((Yay! :3))

Mr. Panettiere frowned at Ryan's peppy response to his poorly hidden dislike. Actually, it wasn't even peppy, it was as if he hadn't known he was there. This was odd, he liked people to fear him. Fear was good, it gave him power. He was powerless right now...
"So, Ryan..." He said the name with obvious dislike. "Where were you planning on taking my daughter tonight? And what time do you plan on having her home?" He began his interigation process. Gwen looked up at her father, unsure of why he sounded upset. Maybe he was tired, after all, being a cop sounded pretty tiring and hard.

Ryan was smiling and staring at Gwen. He seemed to be captivated by her beauty. He heard his name and looked up at Mr. Penettiere. "Huh?" he realized what was asked. "Oh! I'm just taking her to dinner at," he paused, "well, it's kind of a surprise." he then added, "and I'll have her home at ten or eleven, which ever she wants."

Ooh, a surprise? He didn't like that, surprises were bad... And as for ten or eleven? Sure that was earlier then he expected the boy to want her, but why should he trust him? They could still do things....
"Ooh, the best kind of prizes are SURprises!" Gwen laughed at her own joke.
Mr Panettiere's eyes narrowed. "Ten." He announced. "Gwen, give me your cell phone." And, if he wasn't going to be there, he would at least be able to contact her every hour on the hour. Paranoid? Maybe.
Gwen handed her father her cell phone, wondering what he would do but not thinking too much of it. He took it, flipped it open and made sure it was on, when the light came on and the front screen appeared he went to her 'top five'.
"Ah, Ryan, you're on Gwen's top five...And-who's this?" He showed the phone to Ryan. "Me..right next to you. It's sort of like I'm watching you. All the time.." With that he flipped the phone closed and handed it back to Gwen.
"Um, okay..Well, we gotta go now, Daddy. I'll be back at ten, love you!" Gwen said, standing on her tip toes and kissing his cheek. Then she followed Ryan to his car. [b}"See ya![/b] She called, waving. He waved back, smiling at her but then glaring at Ryan before closing the door.

Ryan stared at the cell phone then at Mr. Panettiere. Wow, he was really protective of his daughter. He nodded his head, "Don't worry, I'll have her back on time."
He forced a smile even though now he was scared of Gwen's father a tad and waved, "Thanks, tootles." The tootles line probably wasn't the best one to use but, he had been around Sharpay all day.
The door closed and he headed to the car with Gwen in tow. He walked to the other side and opened the door for her, "You look very nice." He looked down at her shoes, "Are those Bongo's?" he said referring to the brand. They were not that expensive of a brand but, very cute.
Ryan really wasn't thinking too clearly, asking a girl what brand her shoes were was a bit odd.

Mr. Panettiere paused as he was leaving the front door. Did that boy just say...tootles? Suddenly all concern was gone.
Gwen's smile broadenned at her praise. She was going to say, 'you too.', when he asked about her shoes. She followed his gaze downward and then looked at him with amazement. "Yeah! How did you know?" Gwen asked, in awe.

"Oh, I just have a nack for fashion." He replied turning slightly red. It was slightly embarrassing that he knew the names of woman's shoes. Hanging out with Sharpay all the time contributed to that. Gwen struck him as a fun Bongo brand kind of girl. He gestured to the open car door, "Me lady?"

"Oh, okay, cool!" She grinned, not thinking anything of it. He seemed trendy enough to know. "Thank you, kind sir." She joked along, entering the plush car and strapping herelf in. She was really excited about tonight, when she looked up at the sky she saw the first star and knew just what to wish. With eyes pinched closed she whispered, "I wanna have a perfect evening with Ryan."
