After her time spent in Senior English , Elizabeth Bolton headed towards the library. She put her notebook down on a table and started searching the book racks for the Twelfth Night. The discussion really intrigued her. She would also be ahead for next year and already know the curriculum. Her thoughts then pondered onto Song Lee.. the boy who was in charge of her in English. Liz then shook her head trying to get rid of the thoughts in her head about how sweet he was ... how friendly he was. She found Twelfth Night and took it out with her library card. She then sat down back at her table and started to read.

Song walked into the library, and went straight to the receptionists' desk as per usual, to hand in a book. He said hello to the receptionist before moving onto the shelves. He went over to the plays section. The day when he'd hoped for once that he'd have no homework... what do you know, he decides to set a comparison essay...
He turned back to the door, and his eyebrows immediately shot up as he saw who was at the receptionists' desk Liz?! What would she be doing in here...?! He rolled his eyes inwardly as he answered his own question- to get a book out. Duh. He caught sight of the book she was taking out- Twelfth Night? He couldn't help but smile- wasn't this coming from the girl who had said that she didn't need to read Shakespeare till senior year?
As she sat down at the nearby table and began reading, he took the long way around the shelves and edged along the bookcase behind her, then peered down until he was right next to her ear-
'So, thought you'd read up on a bit of Twelfth Night?'

Liz was very into her reading so far and couldnt bear to put the book down. She didnt even care who was in the library and why. She heard a voice that shes regonized in her ear. The guy who she couldnt stop thinking about since then. It was Song. She felt goosebumps trickle on her arm. Liz smirked and turned to face him . " Yes I actually did. Surprising isnt it?"She then placed her bookmark in her book, sighing as she did.

Song drew up a chair on the opposite her, and placed his things beside him on the table.
'Well, considering you said that you didn't need to read up on it since you weren't a senior yet,' he reminded her with a smile, 'I'd have thought that's one of the last things you'd be bothered to read. But hey, I've been proven wrong many times,' he added with a hand up in submission.
He gave a small laugh. Liz was quite a weird girl. He presumed that she felt a little shadowed by her brother's status in the school, but for some reason, behind all that shadow, he was sure that there was definitely something interesting about this girl which neither Liz nor Troy had figured out yet. It was like... he couldn't tell. He saw a sort of boldness in her character, but she wasn't a pushy person either. For some reason, he could imagine her taking centre stage quite easily, whereas when he looked at himself, he always just saw a backdrop person.
'So... got into Shakespeare pretty happily already?' he teased. 'What was your inspiration to do throw yourself into actually reading long lines of prose willingly?'

Liz sighed and patted the book. She then laughed. " Actually I did. Hmm.. my inspiration was something that this boy.. I forgot his name he made up this beautiful line of prose and I thought it came from the book. It didn't. I felt dumb after that so I decided to start reading it. I really like Viola so far. And I figured since my brother wont probably be reading the book , I could help him out maybe. " She smiled after that. The boy that she was mentioning was Song and what had happened in English did really make her feel dumb. He was really good at writing. When Liz first saw him , she didn't assume that. She thought he was the trouble maker in the back of the room.

Song smiled. 'Wow, must have been some dude,' he said, obliviously. 'I don't think I could've pulled off anything like that. Usually the stuff I come up with is pretty stupid.'
I don't really know what she's talking about, but hey, it's kicked off a good conversation. It doesn't have the same feel as a 'omg-this-boy-is-so-hot' talk, though... ah well. None of my business, anyway...
'Well, I'm sure that he didn't mean to make you feel dumb,' he said. 'And even if he did, you shouldn't. There are a whole load of different people and talents out there, and just cause you're not strong at one thing, that doesn't mean you're just a general loser at life, right? I mean, there's gotta be something you're good at, apart from reeling out long complicated pieces of prose. Cause that's definitely not everything there is to life,' he added with a reassuring smile.

" Yeah I'm sure he didnt and I know it shouldnt have but he did. That's so true. Theres no way I'm a loser just because of that. Yeah I have things I'm good at. Like basketball it's in my genes. Oh I know. How about you , what are you good at ? " Liz asked smiling and kind of curiously. " I cannot believe you dont know how I'm talking about. He was sitting right next to me in English. " Liz said sighing. " And I doubt what you write is stupid. If your own point of view and feel of things. How can it be wrong?"

'Exactly! I can't play basketball to save my life. So we can both be dumb people together,' he said, laughing- quietly, because of habit when he was in the library. 'To be honest, I'm not really that good at anything... I do music, I can play and write stuff pretty well, but that's where the limit of imagination cuts off!'
He raised an eyebrow at her next comment. Sitting next to Liz in English... Ryan? Or maybe the other guy... don't remember who it was... maybe Jason...?' 'Some things just sound stupid. Either because it's ridiculously cheesy, or because it's just not true, or a healthy mix of both. But,' he said leaning back nonchalantly, 'I'm cool with that. I mean, if anything, by my failures, others can make sure they don't make the same mistakes, right?'

Liz laughed , quietly. " I would like that. That would be cool. " Liz listened to Song inattentively. " Thats cool. Music's pretty awesome. I would love to hear you play sometime." Liz had a pretty good voice and no one knew that except her brother but he never said anything to her about it. She loved singing along to all the songs on her ipod. Liz noticed Song raise his eyebrow. " You cant figure it out? Can you? " She said smirking alittle bit. " Right. " Liz said nodding her head.

'Haha, or maybe not,' he said. 'It's not that good, anyway.'
When Liz said that rather vague thing about not being able to figure it out, his curiosity was piqued a little, and he reeled back the conversation in his head, wondering if there was some joke or hidden message he'd missed. When he could find none, he decided to just let it slide. 'What about you? You play, or sing at all?'

" Don't be so unconfident Song. I'm sure its great. I definitely wanna hear it sometime. " Liz said smiling. Liz then sighed. She kinda wanted him to know it was him. " Song the boy in English..." Liz started to say then stopped. "Never mind. " She piped up. " Hmm... well shh... nobody's knows except my brother which he doesn't really say anything about it. I sing. I have a really good voice. Its incredible. I think I may even be better than my brother. " Liz says smirking alittle bit and whispering.

'I'm not being unconfident. I, as a completely neutral observer, rate it as "not bad, but nothing special",' he said with expansive confidence.
When she said 'the boy in English', his ears pricked up agian, but then she stopped. Giving her a quizzical look, but letting it slide again, he listened to her next words, and gave an equally mischievous smirk back. 'Well, I'll take your word for it. Your uncontrollable modesty is a testament to your talents,' he said laughingly. 'Perhaps one day, you might turn up to upstage your brother. Now I'm the one who wants to hear you.'
Normally, he'd put down calling her own voice 'incredible' and 'better than my brother' as just being cocky and arrogant, but the peculiar mix of light-hearted banter and the hint of sincerity made it sound very different. Definitely an interesting character.

" Oh ok. So you wouldn't mind if I wanted to hear it? Pick a time and a place. And I'll come hear ya play. " Liz said smiling. " Thanks. Even I told any of my team mates this , they would laugh. " Liz then blushed. " I'm not that modest , really. " Liz laughed. " That would be insanely awesome. If I get my confidence up alittle bit , maybe that could happen. But I'd never do it. " Liz said shrugging her shoulders.

Song laughed. 'Well, I don't like arranging times- how about when I'm playing something and you happen to be around, you can peek in and I won't blame you.'
He really didn't like showing himself off. What he did on stage was for the crowd and to further his own abilities- just showing people what they already knew was just arrogant. But when peopel who thought little of their own talents showed up, he felt that he needed to give them that chance to take centre stage and take control over their own lives instead of letting other people push them around.
'Well, your chance might not be that far away. Spring musical's coming up- maybe you should go for that,' he suggested. 'And plus, confidence shouldn't be an issue. It's good that you're judging yourself outside of the box, but as long as there's a possibility, there should never be a "never", right? Come on, don't put yourself down so easily.'

Liz laughed. " That sounds good." Liz sighed. " I'm not sure. Maybe I will. Probably not , though. I'll think about it alright?" Liz started to think in her heart she really did wanna do it but in her head it was a terrible , terrible idea. She could be called her brother's sister even more if she sings.
