Harmony nodded her head, "Great, well-" she spread her arms apart, "welcome to East High! Home to the East High Wildcats." She did a little wildcats move and smiled.
Then she asked a dumb question, "So I guess you don't know many people here then huh?" She wasn't the brightest bulb in the bunch.

He backed off with a startled expression when she did her 'move' and didn't know how to react when she was done. Should he clap? Luckily Harmony continued. He smiled at her...naiivety.
"No, not really." Oz, yet again, shrugged. "Just my brother and..um..." He bit his lip and tried to remember Xander's name. He knew it was unsual... "Xepher...I think?"

"Xepher?" Harmony raised an eyebrow and then laughed, "Oh! You mean Xander, the skater kid." She smiled, "Well now you know me!"
Hmm, a skater kid...well, he didn't look like a skater kid. It was driving Harmony crazy trying to figure out what click he was in! She wanted to ask him to the dance but if he turned out to be in something Cordy didn't approve of Harmony would get in trouble. She decided to ask him the fateful question, "Do you like sports?" Well...almost.

He stared at her a moment, a tad surprised at her laughing at him but enjoying it. It was a nice laugh. Oz smiled faintly until he realized what she was laughing at. "OH!" He replied, shocked he had gotten it wrong. "Xander! Right, of course."
He was just getting over how stupid he was when she asked a very random question. Sports? He gave her a look that read, 'What, are you kidding?' Oz was most deffinetly not the sports kind. He watched his brother play but hated the brutality and anmalistic nature of the 'teams'. When somone got tackled he would always wince, and even though the rules were well laid out he foud the games themselves pointless and dull.
"Not really the sports type." He replied. "Though, my brother is. I watch him play." Oz wished he didn't have to, he felt so out of place among the cheering fans. Everyone would be shouting and screaming non-stop, filled with team spirit, or whatever. He just liked ot avoid the craziness. He would much rather be playing guitar.

"Oh, ok." Harmony nodded her head. Oh well, so he wasn't into sports. It wasn't the end of the world...he was still really nice, and very handsome. Maybe Cordy could look past the fact that he wasn't a jock. At least he wasn't into drama, Cordy didn't care for the drama club people. Harmony seemed to care a lot about what Cordelia thought.
"So is he going to join the basket ball team?" She tilted her head to the side, in question.

He wondered where her question of sports had come from. Did he look like a jock? Automatically Oz looked himself over. No, deffinetly not a jock, just a meek bookworm. Oz suddenly wanted to seem exciting to her, he must seem so dull compared to her bubbly personality. Oz was about to mention guitar, his only talent, when she asked about Zach again. Oswald was compelled to smile at her when her head tilted in question. Similar to a confused dog...which Oz was pretty sure she talked to as well, when he thought about it.
"I don't know." He said with sincerity, he and his brother really didn't talk much, though Oz talked to Zach more than anyone. Except for Harmony, now. He felt like backing from the spotlight, not used to having to talk so much, so he decided to ask /her/ some questions. Besides, he really was interested about the fun and spirited girl, "What about you? Any siblings?"

"Well, tell him he should." Harmony replied, with a smile still on her face, "It will be loads of fun for him if he's into sports...the guys are really nice." She nodded her head, as if to agree with herself. Then he asked about her family. Oh boy...
Harmony let out a sigh of annoyance and rolled her eyes, "Only one, my brother...Rory. He isn't into sports, just into being totally annoying and immature."
((is this after Rory started coming to East High?))

((Yep. I think...should it be?))
Harmony showed signs of annoyance, rolling her eyes and groaning and such. Had he hit a tender subject? Had she realised just how boring of a guy he was? Oz waiting with raised brows for her to speak.
Ah, it was 'annoying-little-brother' syndrom. Oz knew all about younger brothers, him having one, yet he never got annoyed with his. Zach was his only friend, in fact. Oh, the pitiful life of Oswald Hart.
Oz smiled at her, she certainly was cute. The way she talked was different from what he was used to. For instance, his mother would introduce herself, "Hello, pleasure to make your aquantance, my name is Professor Patrice Hart. What, may I ask, shall I call you by?" Oz remembered Harmony saying, "So, I'm Harmony Grant, it's nice to meet you." Which was ultimately better than he had assumed she would introduce herself as, but still, she was not like his family at all. Which, he was strangely thankful for.
"I see, how old is your brother?"

Harmony sighed, she hated talking about Rory. She supposed it wasn't that bad, being that the person she was talking to was Oz. He was completely nice about it. Wow, he just was so understanding!
"He's fourteen and," she gritted her teeth and said the next part as if she were in pain, "a freshman...here." She let out a sigh of sadness, "My parents like, totally transfered him here from West High without even asking me what I thought! I mean, why not ask me?! It's my school! I'm telling you it's like one of the worst things that could ever happen to a person, for serious-ness!"
She blushed when she realized she was talking to a guy about this and probably being really annoying. You didn't tell a boy these things! You told one of your girlfriends these things. "I'm sorry," she bit her lip, "I'm being silly."

Oz gave an amused look and covered his smirking mouth with a hand, not wanting her to be offended at him silently laughing at her. Yet, as she continued to explain at how aggrivated she truly was his smile dissipated and his hand lowered into his pocket. He, in turn, cocked his head unknowingly at her and listened to her complaining. Oz shook his head and gave a small smile when she finished,
"No, you're not. It might seem 'silly' to someone else, but I can tell, for you it's a serious plight-" He remembered he was talking to the 'bird whispereer' so he quickly changed his words.
"ehm, thing. It's okay to feel upset about it, don't disregard your feelings. If you need to talk about it, talk, I'll listen." And with that he sat down, right there, in the middle of the aisle. It was semi-uncharacteristic, but he wanted her to feel at ease with him. He could tell she was troubled by this and wanted her to be able to talk it through.

"Oh my gosh, really?" She covered her mouth with one hand and then put it down and smiled. "You are so nice!" Harmony sat down, right there in the aisle with him. She was about to continue the explanation of her plight when the Liberian peeked her head around the corner and glared at them. She then pointed to a sign that read, 'No Talking' and placed her hands on her hips.
Harmony bit her lip and looked at Oz and whispered, "Maybe we should do this somewhere else...how about Starbucks?"

Oz smiled a surprising closed-mouth smile and nodded at the spot of floor in front of her. He was indicating that this was her piece of floor without saying anything. He looked at her when she complimented him and shrugged, giving now a sort of..well, 'Jim' type of smile, and shrugging, as if to say, 'oh, thanks, but let's not talk about that.'
Just as he was going to gesture for her to continue the lybrarien arrived and he was caught. He couldn't help but feel ashamed, after all, he was a good student. The example student. Literally, the teacher always used him as an example for a good student. Now he was being scolded by someone he so respected, the lybrarien. Oz looked up at her and watched her point at the sign for 'quiet', which was unusual because normally people were upset with him for /not/ speaking up. Oh, the irony.
Oswald heard Harmony whisper and nodded at her, that perhaps she was right. Before he could really think this through he was leading her to the desk to get her book, and then opening the door for her.
(To Starbucks?)
