Oswald Hart walked into the lybrary, after 'talking' with Xander so much he decided that he needed to shut himself off from the worl for a bit and do something un-social. The lybrary was his haven...that and the music room.
Oz wandered through the aisles of books, just enjoying the peace they filled him with. He took one down, it was about submarines. Flipping through it he decided he already knew too much about the subject to find it interesting. Oz lifted it and the faintest whisper of a smile appeared. Books smelt wonderful.
After searching for a bit he found himself in unmarked territory..he had never been in this aisle before... Picking a book from the shelf he read it. Skateboarding For Dummies. Oz was almost repulsed by the subject. He was neither dumb nor was he into skateboarding. Yet, just as he was sliding it back in it's place, something stopped him.
Oz slid it back out with a look of confusion, and then he opened it and began to read. Before he knew it he was sitting at a table half-way through this book. It was all so new to him. No wonder Xander enjoyed this. And just like that, Oz was learning something new.
(Anyone is welcome!!! =3)

Harmony entered the library and looked around. This was a place she rarely went into. She only would go in when she had an assignment and needed a book, which would be the reason she was in there now. 'To Kill a Mockingbird' was her dreaded assignment. She had no clue where to find it but thought it might have something to do with nature since it had a mockingbird in it.
She was wearing her favorite color today, pink! She wore a pink over jacket and and pink scoop cut shirt. Then she wore dark blue boot-cut jeans and a tan belt with a golden buckle. She had black pointed toe boots on her feet to complete the outfit. Harmony slowed down a bit as she looked at the different names of the animals on the sides of the covers, "Manati...Manaray....Moose....Monkey, Mongoose? Well where are all of the books on Mockingbirds?!" She sighed, she would have to ask for help. She would have asked at the front desk but, Oz seemed closer.
She walked over to him, "Excuse me, do you know where the books on mockingbirds are?"

Oz was so enthralled in this odd new book that when Harmony aproached him he nearly fell off his seat with surprise.
"Mockingbirds...?" He repeated, staring at the beautiful young lady. Why would she want to look at books on mockingbirds...oh well, to each their own, he figured. Oz stood, closed the book, he was almost finished anyways, and nodded.
"Follow me." He found it odd she asked him when she could have looked it up on the computer or asked a lybrarien, but he was fine with it. He was sort of a lybrarien himself, he went there enough.
Oz went to the animal section and found an encyclopedia and a book of birds for her. He pulled them out and offered them to Harmony, watching for her aproval(SP).
"This is what you wanted, right?" He asked timidly, his voice as soft and meek as his demeanor.

Harmony bit her lip,"Well...actally, I'm looking for a book on how to kill a mockingbird, see." She showed him her book list.
She admired his effort and thought it was really sweet of him to give her so many different chooses of bird books. "I'm not really sure why the teacher wants us to learn about that but-" she shrugged and giggled, "Oh well! She's the boss!"

He showed a look of confusion but checked the list anyways, still holding the books. 'How to kill mockingbirds? What kind of crazy class was she taking-' Then he read the title and it hit him. She thought that How to Kill a Mockingbrd was about killing mockingbirds when there actually was no bird killing in the book!
Oz couldn't help to chuckle as he put the books back, then he turned, still smiling at her. This was an odd and impressive feat. Making Oz laugh or smile, both?! Brava.
"It's a novel." He explained. "It's not actually about killing a mockingbird, here.." Now he walked through the aisles until he found the right section and pinpointed the author's last name. He was knelt besides the book and pulled it out, offering it to her, small smile in plas as he was still clearly amused.

He had a nice smile, she had never seen this boy around before. Maybe he was new.
Harmony gasped, she had made him look for the wrong book! "Oh wow, really? I'm so sorry." She smiled took the book from him, "Thank you...So there are no birds in it?" Harmony flipped threw it, it seemed long...she would ask her parents if there was a movie. Although her mom would probably just want her to read the book anyway.

"Don't apologize, it's understandable.." He lied. Everyone knew that it was a novel...he didn't want to seem mean, though.
Oz stood, he didn't realise he was so much taller than her..or she was just very small. "No, sorry." He shrugged and crossed his arms, staring at Harmony with interest. "But there is a character named Adekis Finch(SP?)." Maybe that would please her, she was flipping through the book and obviously sizing it up. Maybe he should tell her about the cliff note version...ofcourse that's cheating and he would not indulge in cheating.

"Adekis...Finch? Like those little birds at Petsmart?" Harmony stopped flipping threw it. She liked looking at the different animals when she went to Petsmart, she would go there to pick up food for her brother's hamster. "Well, they're kinda cute."
This guy was really nice & easy to talk to. She had to remember to get his name before leaving. She also didn't have a date to the dance yet, maybe she could ask him!

He looked down thoughtfully, the faintest whisper of a smile on his face. She certainly did seem like the type of girl who would spend time chatting to the birds and fish at Petsmart. He always thought those people were weird and delusional...but she was living proof this wasn't so. Harmony was sweet and...erm../naiiv/.
"Yes, like those." Oz looked back up at her, his dark eyes meeting hers. "Ofcourse, Adekis isn't what I'd called 'cute'."

Harmony smiled, she did like those little birds, but he continued on and his gaze met hers. Her smile faltered a bit as her heart began to beat a billion miles a second. He had the prettiest eyes...
"He's not." she murmured still staring at him, shaking her head ever so slightly.
She looked into his deep beautiful eyes, oh yes, she most definitely could ask him.

He noticed her smile falter and suddenly felt like he had done something wrong, she was also staring at him rather oddly. Oz felt very nervous, suddenly he remembered /he/ was a nerd...and /she/ was...well..beautiful...and probably too popular and good for him. He rubbed the back of his neck subconciously, adverting his eyes from her own beautiful hazel one's.
"No..He's not.." Oswald answered, even more softly than before.

Harmony swallowed and looked away. She smiled slightly before turning back toward him, "So, I'm Harmony Grant. It's nice to meet you."
This guy was really nice, she wasn't really thinking about clicks right now. She was just being friendly and she wanted to be friends too. Hopeful Cordy wouldn't be too mad at her for asking Oz, if she did, which she was thinking about it. Normally cheerleaders had to ask jocks. It was like, the law.

Oz looked back up at her. Oh, jeeze, she was smiling and introducing herself...she was so nice! He felt bad she was wasting her time on him.
"Um, I'm Oz, eh, I mean.." His hand came down from his neck and he offered it to her. For shaking and all of that 'introducing' type stuff. His hands were kind of surprisingly soft, up until his fingers, which were calloused and rough. The surprising softness = nerd and books. Calloused fingers? Guitar.
"Oswald Hart.." He grimaced, even his name was dorky. "I know, /Oswald/...lame, huh? But, it kinda fits me." He shrugged, attempting optimism. It came out kind of self depricating but whatever.

"Oswald?" she giggled as she said it, then nodded taking his hand, "I like it!" She let go of his surprisingly soft hand and continued, "So um, are you new?" She had to get to know him a little bit.
((ack, shortness x.x))

Great...he inwardly groaned, she was laughing at his name. Not that he wasn't used to being laughed at, or anything, but she seemed so-oh...she /was/ nice. She liked his name...maybe she was just a giggly person. She certainly seemed to be that type of person. A giggly, talks-to-animals-at-Petsmart kind of girl.
Oz nodded, "Yes. I just transfered here." He explained.
