Oz shifted from one foot to the other uncomfertably. This was increadibly awkward for him. Obviously all of these people knew each other and were going to play some songs. It felt to wrong for him to be intruding on thim like this. He just wanted to leave and maybe go play by himself somewhere.
Oz sighed, tapping a calloused finger on his smooth guitar. The door was blocked. Ryan was blocking the door. There was no way out he just had to stand there as the third, erm, fourth wheel. He would have loved to hear the songs that Kelsi had written but he knew he wasn't welcomed. Not that Oz was complaining, he was used to not being noticed.
Oswald walked towards Ryan and looked at the group. He hoped he wasn't interupting the flow of their conversation by saying, "I'll just be going now, I don't want to disrupt you guys or anything." He swallowed, waiting for Ryan to move.

Ryan looked even more surprised. Sing something with Gabriella?! Whoa, was he in another world or universe perhaps. He had never seen this coming. Sure, he thought it would be nice to sing with someone other then his sister for once but, he never thought in a million years that other person would be Gabriella Montez!
He maintained and answered her question, "Because, I'm an Evans'...Sharpay's poodle and you're, well..." Ryan tried to continued but just ended up gesturing toward her. "I mean- I would love to sing with you, I just never thought...you know." Ryan was annoyed at his lost for words but he couldn't think of any other way to say it.
Ryan started to move so the other boy could leave, he really didn't know what to say to him.
((Oz could accompany them as well, on guitar...I'm sorry, Ryan just wouldn't be the type to stop Oz -_-'))

"I know that your an Evan's but I dont think that you are Sharpays poodle. your probably afraid of her or something and just to let you know I never thought of singing with you either" Gabriella giggled. She took a few steps back from the boy leaving. She had never seen him before. Gabbi looked over at Kelsi and smiled hoping it was alright that she was inviting Ryan.
"And Ryan, I think that we could become friends even though Sharpay and I arent exactly sisters" Gabriella added.

Ryan listened to Gabriella's answer. She was so nice, it was almost hard to believe how nice she was! He smiled when she giggled and said that she had never thought of singing with him before as well. He hoped that Kelsi was ok with all of this. He did think she was an amazing artist, to play the piano and compose your own music took skill!
He moved from his place of retreat by the door and walked slowly over to where Gabriella and Kelsi were standing. He smiled slightly at the thought of them becoming friends. Ryan had always wanted more friends, as of late his sister and Gwen were the only ones he had. Taylor had also just started to get friendly with him. Ryan laughed a little at her comment about Sharpay.
"Really?" he paused, "Friends?" he still wasn't sure if he could trust her and if this was some cruel joke then he wanted it to be stopped right now.

Kelsi looked at the two boys, both of whom had been formerly inclined to leave the music room. Yet, it seemed that Ryan seemed qute inclined to stay now. She was happy for some reason; she had been seeing him in quite a different light lately, most likely from him being without The Ice Queen. She rather wanted to hear the other two sing together; she knew they both were extremely talented.
Yet, the boy standing before her; whom had always seemed quite assured of himself, seemed rather hesitant. She offered a smile, wondering if he would act different if his sister were there. He did seem quite close; though she supposed that made sense, as they were both interested in music.
She made a small nod, half to herself, before grinning at Ryan and motioning to the piano. "Do you play?"

"Of course I want to be friends. Why would I joke about something like that?" Gabriella replied. She walked over to the piano and set her notebook down on a chair. Gabbi could understand that he didnt really trust her after all that time spent with Sharpay.

Finally Ryan moved and Oz sighed, relieved he wouldn't have to be a fly on the wall any longer. Yet, something was depressing him...maybe he had wished to be included? They all seemed so friendly and he sort of wished he could have played with them. Music was a passion of his, he longed to go back into the room and create something amazing, and possibly make friends.
No, it was too late, Oz was already in the hall. He gripped his guitar in his hand, feet stuck to the ground. Oz stood there and thought a moment. Maybe the reason he was so lonely was because he never tried to earn friends, he didn't think he needed them. Maybe it was his turn to make an effort. It was strange how a genuise could still not understand something so simple as making friends; but he was learning. Oz turned and headed back to the music room, looking very determined indeed. He entered the room and spoke,
"May I play with you guys?" Oz's voice was just as descisive as his stance and serious face. Looking around he realised he might seem /too/ determined, so he relaxed a little, and became more oz-like. "Ehm, I mean, if that's okay?"

"Oh, well..." he tried to think of an answer to Gabriella's question, he then shrugged, "some people, would."
Ryan started to let down his guard a little bit more at the sight of Kelsi's welcoming smile. Both girls seemed really nice and they seemed serious about it too. This really wasn't a joke. Ryan did trust Kelsi a little bit more then Gabriella, knowing her longer and all. It would just take some time for him to fully trust Gabbi. He certainly didn't not like her. He actually thought she was very pretty and admired her voice. It was quite good.
Kelsi asked him about the piano, he joined Gabriella next to the instrument. He smiled slightly, "A bit..."
He turned and looked to the door when it opened again, It was that boy...and he wanted to join them. Ryan looked at Kelsi and Gabbi, they seemed to be the ones in charge of things.

"I cant believe that anyone would joke about being friends with you, well once they got to know you anyway. " Gabbi replied.
She turned to Oz. "Im sure its fine if you join us."

Oz stared at them as a silence filled the room. He waited with baited breath, had he done something stupid? Should he have just kept going in the hall? Finally, Gabriella, the girl who seemed to be the 'social leader' of the group, said it would be fine. Oz sighed and then gave a wane smile.
"Thanks." He murmered, re-entering the room and approaching the group.

Kelsi watched quietly as the boy seemed to change his mind quite a few times, before finally returning to the Music room, seemingly to stay. Her gaze moved back towards Ryan after smiling a bit at Oswald. She looked at the boy standing by the piano, and she found herself nearing it to. “I…I think I’d like to hear you play.” She smiled a bit, looking a Gabby, before she looked at the piano keys. She so rarely heard anyone else play; she was usually the one doing it.
She removed her glasses to rub a spot of them, before returning them to their proper place upon her nose. She had always felt that she had understood about Ryan, and sadly, it had been that he was Sharpay’s brother, who always helped Sharpay with her schemes. Now, she felt almost guilty about it from what he had mentioned earlier. He was not Sharpay’s poodle, and she could see that now.
She looked at him, this time much more calm. “I really would.” she said, clandestinely trying to make up for her earlier view of him.

Ryan glanced over at the boy joining them. He was very shy but, probably just an artist type. Once he got comfortable with them he would probably open up. He shrugged at Gabriella's comment about the friends thing, "It happens..." mostly jocks or cheerleaders would take advantage of him like this but, it was just something that would happen, he was used to it. He always assumed they were just jealous of him and snuffed it off.
They were always mean to him and his sister but most of the time his sister was there to defend them with a witty comeback. The times she wasn't there were the ones that Ryan's feelings got hurt...of course he would never let it show.
Ryan smiled at Kelsi at her request to hear him play. At first he was hesitant then she insisted and sounded so sincere that he agreed, "Alright..." He moved to the other side of the piano and sat down. He rolled his shoulders back moved his neck from side to side. After he was ready he placed his fingers on the keys. He turned to Oz, "You can play cords if you want, during the last part...the intro is, a little tricky to follow."
He nodded hoping he understood and faced forward again, ready to play. He quickly plinked his fingers on the keys as he played the prelude to Billy Joel's Angry Young Man. This was a surprising piece for him to choose, considering he had said he played 'a bit!'

Gabriella stood in aww. She couldnt believe that Ryan could play the piano that well. Ryan was really really good at it too. Gabbi wondered if he ever played when Shaapay was around because he was forced to follow her most of the time.

Kelsi all but stared as Ryan's hands flew across the keys; his trills perfect, the melody being just the right volume, a major carried out better than she had heard in a long time. She couldn't imagine that this was what he had meant by 'a bit'.
She herself recognized the song, but she had never heard it played this way. It seemed different and she wasn't caretain why. Intonation? Speed? She wasn't sure, but she was certainly amazed. Even when it began to play the same measures, it seemed to still have an exciting edge to it; something she knew to be quite difficult.
((XD I hope the wording was right...I play belles, but it's hard to tell without sheet music.))

Oz nodded, lifting the guitar's strap over his head. Ryan never mentioned /what/ song he was going to play so it took a while for Oz to figure it out, but when he did, he smiled. Ryan sure was a good player, and this song was brilliant. Now, to figure out to bass....
Oz's fingers stroked the strings silently (WOW, tongue twister), he concentrated on listening to the piano, and just like that he strummed. Soon he was playing the bass of the song, not even remembering where he was or who would be looking. His fingers played as if automatically and his head was lowered with eyes closed.
