The room was quiet and dark. Ryan Evans' blue eyes scanned the room. It was his free period and he wanted to practice his singing to keep him up to speed...maybe some of his dancing later. He opened the blinds over the window, letting some light in. Ryan sighed and sat down at the piano. He opened it up, reviling the keys. He closed his eyes and concentrated. After emptying his mind and getting his head in the game ((lol)) his fingers brushed the keys. He started to play. Ryan hummed along with the cords he played. His eyes were still closed as he played. Then he started to play "Dancing Through Life" from the musical "Wicked", one of Ryan's favorites. He started to sing along..."The trouble with schools is they always try to teach the wrong lesson. Believe me, I've been kicked out of enough of them to know. They want you to be less callow, less shallow, but I say why invite stress in? Stop studying strife, and learn to live the unexamined, life..." He began to play the rest. ((Lyrics of Dancing Through Life belong to Stephen Schwartz)) ((Tag Kelsi! and others... ))

(GREAT song. <3)
Oswald was walking through the halls on his way out when he remembered he had left his guitar in the music room. He was shocked that he had almost left his most prized possesion. Oz walked back through the empty halls, his footsteps echoing as he did so until he came to the music room. Normally Oz would have just walked in, but his hand was left hovering over the doorknob this time.
His dark eyes turned from the doorknob to the door itself, as if his gaze could see through the wood and into the room. He heard the piano...someone must have already been inside. (Duh) Oz dropped his hand and looked around, wondering who it could be...maybe it was that small quiet girl he sometimes saw enter the music room. Well, Oz simply couldn't go in if she was in there...ofcourse, then, what would he do about his guitar? With a defeated sigh he gripped the cool and silver knob and entered.
At once he realised it was not Kelsi. Deffinetly not so, because when he entered he noticed Ryan was singing and was obviously very much a boy. His voice was boy, his shape was boy, boy, boy, boy. Oz felt himself relax, he got terribly unsettled around girls. He looked from Ryan to the guitar, thinking that he could simply sneak along the back wall, get the guitar and leave before being noticed.
"Dancing through life, swaying and sweeping, and always keeping cool." 'Boy, this guy was a good singer!' That's what Oz was thinking when his hand reached for the guitar, the next thing he was thinking was, 'Oh Shoot.'
KA-KLANG!!!!! His guitar fell from his grasp and some unpleasant noises were issued. Oswald winced and stared at his guitar with guilt and pain.

"Life is-" Ryan stopped in mid lyric, he heard something fall. Was somebody in the room? He opened his eyes and spun around on the piano bench to face whatever had caused the noise.
A boy, the new kid...the new kid was in the music room, with him. What was he doing here?! Ryan looked at the guitar that had fallen on the floor. So he left his guitar in here and he had come back to retrieve it.
Ryan stared at the boy. He still looked surprised. What should he say? He looked suspiciously at the boy...he had been sitting with the skater kids at lunch, did he play the guitar too? He continued to stare at the boy, after a long awkward silence he spoke, "Hey."

Oz looked at the boy, not moving or speaking. A long and awkward pause filled the space until Ryan said, "hey."
He took his guitar, it's smooth blue surface gleaming under the lights. Oz nodded at Ryan. "Hey." He replied, and then, being daring, he said. "You, ehm, sing very well." With that he headed to the door, thinking he was finished.

((YAY! Kelsi's been needing a music room.))
The dark haired girl was clad in the rather unobtrsive clothes that she was usually seen in, walking down the hallway that she walked down countless times a week. To the room that many people seemed to believe she spent to much time in; the music room.
She loved being in the said room. It was always quiet and full of space the magnificent piano and instuments, and she could sing as much as wanted in there, as she was usually it's only occupant. That was another thing; she sometimes grew irritated of Sharpay's prodding to learn the songs, which Kelsi only saw as futile; as she had only had her selections chosen once for a musical. But rarely was the blonde drama queen found in the music room; she seemed to think it was below her, and she had her own pianist and who knew-what-else. In fact, it rarely had anyone.
But on that particular day, however, she was distracted by voices, and when she went to push open the door, she was not shown an empty room. In fact, she wasn't shown a room at all, but a door, seconds before the hard wood found it's way to the small girl's forehead.

Ryan was unsure of the other boy's intentions and was still looking at him suspiciously, "Thanks..." He looked at the guitar then at Oz. What now?
Just then the door was pushed a little bit open and then BAM! Someone had hit the door, Ryan stood up from the keyboard. He walked over to the door, wondering what the sound had been.
Peeking through the little window he saw nobody in the hallway, he decided to open the door. He stopped halfway as the door had almost hit someone who had fallen onto the floor. Ryan stared at the person a moment before realizing who it was, "Kelsi?!" he said with concern as he quickly knelt down to help her. "Are you ok?"

The small girl managed to see through her glasses, even though they were a bit askew from her fall. She hadn't really even noticed that she had fallen until she felt herself sitting on the floor; feeling rather foolish.
She heard a voice and looked up, blinking in confusion. It was Ryan, and he was kneeling next to her to help her up. "Yeah, I'm..." she began, before noticing his face. She was almost alarmed to see the concern etched in his eyes. She always had trouble seeing who he truly was and how he truly acted. Sharay had always been there with him; and she didn't make them seem like exactly welcoming people.
She stood, fixing her glasses. She offered a smile. "Thank you." She had never really known Ryan that well, but lately, she seemed to be seeing him without his sister, and it was quite a different expierience.

Oz nodded, wondering what to do next. An awkward silence filled the room that was so often filled with music and noise. It certainly didn't sound like the normal music room. Oz lifted his hand in a sign for, 'bye', without actually saying anything. His policy was, only speak when necassary. Similar to 'Only speak when spoken to' but that sounded like you were being forced into silence. He wasn't forced, he just preferred it, plus he was shy.
Oz and his guitar headed for the door, he was planning on playing at the park or something, when the door opened and a girl came tumbling after. Oswald started, looking from her to Ryan in confusion. Luckily Ryan rushed to her aid and helped her up. Instantly he recognised her as the talented and meek Kelsi. The small girl who was often found alone in the music room, it was usually one of them who could be found there after hours.
He didn't know what to say or do, he just stood there besides them. He lived his life as if he were watching it being played out, never involving himself in too much. Zach tried to help him with his self esteem and people skills, it just wasn't helping. He was who he was...no matter how melencholy it became.

Ryan let go of her hand from helping her up. He smiled slightly at her, "You're welcome." He hardly ever spoke to Kelsi, mostly because he was with Sharpay all of the time. She seemed like a nice person though, even if she had helped Troy and Gabriella get the lead roles in 'Twinkle Town'.
There was an awkward paused. Then Ryan spoke, "So, do you wanna use the piano?" He thought this would probably be his time to exit stage left. He wasn't sure what Kelsi thought of him. Of course he would love to jam with her or even sing with her accompaniment. He just didn't think he would be welcomed.

Gabriella walked through the door of the music room. She had a free period and wanted to hear the new songs that Kelsi had written. Gabbi loved listening to Kelsi play and she loved to sing along with the music.
"Hey Ryan, Kelsi" She said as she walked into the room. "I came to listen to your new music if that alright Kels?"

Then, Gabriella Montez entered the room. Ryan glanced at her as she came through the door and responded to her greeting, "Hey..." He looked down a bit and then looked to the door. He definitely knew now would probably be his time to leave. He figured he would be intruding on them if he stayed. Plus he was an Evans' and by association that meant, 'not welcomed' or 'not liked by many.' His sister would probably be peeved if she found out, as well. Ryan looked at Kelsi & Gabriella, "I'll be going..." he started to head for the door. ((Sorry about totally ignoring you Oz , I couldn't really think of a way to include you ))

"Ryan, you dont have to go" Gabriella said with a smile.
He was related to Sharpay and Gabbi didnt really like her but Sharpay wasnt there. Gabriella is nice to almost everyone who is nice to her so letting Ryan stay came relativly easy. She stood next to Kelsi and looked over at Ryan as he headed toward the door. Gabbi tucked one of her short curls behind her ear and pushed her purse back onto her shoulder.

Kelsi looked back and forth from Ryan and Gabriella. She certainly wouldn't mind playing some music for Gabriella, but she was unsure if the boy had been done. He had come from the piano? She hadn't exactly been staring into the room as she had crashed to the ground. She placed a hand upon her head before dropping it. Ryan seemed to be in a bit of a rush all of a sudden; it rather threw her off.
She gave Gabriella a quick smile so that she didn't feel ignored, and half as an apology, before she looked back at the retreating Ryan. "If you were using it, I won't..." she said, before breaking off and looking at him.
She looked away from him beore realizing that there was another person, one she had not noticed, as her last few moments were a bit less than brilliant. She didn't know him well, but she supposed that fact was not very surprising. She didn't exactly speak to everyone easily.

Ryan stopped when both girls had addressed him. He sighed and turned around to face them once more. "It's ok, I was finished using it-" he said referring to the piano. Not many people knew that he played the piano, it was a little known fact about Ryan.
He then noticed Gabriella's smile, it wasn't a fake smile, like the one Sharpay had perfected over many many hours of practice to use when needed but, a genuine smile. She might actually want him to stay. Ryan looked a little confused as he looked at the girls. "You really 'want' me to stay?"
He knew Oz was still standing there but, he seemed rather shy. Ryan wasn't great at meeting people for the first time so he really didn't know what to say to the boy...

"Of course" Gabriella replied. "Why wouldnt I want you to stay? I mean we could sing something together possibly"
Gabriella looked over at Ryan. He looked perplexed for some reason but he seemed nice and she wanted to get to know him.
((I cant think sorry its short))
