"Bleh."Jessica sighed as she walked past a shelf in the large bookstore. Spotting a small, abandoned stack of books, she picked them up with a sigh and headed to reshelve them. She didn't mind working here, but it got so boring and slow some days. Today was one of those days.
Jessica wasn't fully sure why she chose Barnes and Noble to work at. She liked to read, and she had a large music collection. But also, she wasn't really a "Nerd" or a "geek". Ok fine, so she was a geek, but not a weird one. She loved her mac and iPhone, and she was a fantasy fan. But hey, she couldn't help herself it was good. Probably one of the reasons she chose this place was that not many East High students came here. Most were too preoccupied with 'Twinkle Town' or the latest Basketball game. She shrugged to herself as she adjusted the lanyard hangin garound her neck as she picked up more abandoned books.
She looked around as she headed towards the various sections to replace the growing stack in her hands.. A couple people stopped her, most wondering where to find something. Do they ever read signs or just glance around? She thought as she placed the books back in their spot. Brushing a loose strand of hair from her face, she headed towards information to help more lost souls.

Jude wandered into Barnes & Noble, the title of the book he was looking for being repeated on his lips. "A Call to Arms, A Call to Arms..." He had to read it for his english class but had never heard of it before. He knew it was by a famous American Author named Ernest Hemmingway but didn't know much else about it. First he tried to find it in Historical, now he was slowly moving to Historical fiction. Why were books so difficult to find?
Jude's appearance matched his lazy, or rather disorganized lifestyle. His hair was unkempt; it had obviously never been threatenned by a comb, and his shirt was wrinkly. He wore a large black coat over his simple brown shirt, and jeans had been thrown on his legs. He would've much rather been sketching a still life now but no, he had to find this book.
Jude had just crouched down in the historical fiction when he overheard someone asking where a book was. He looked towards the voice and saw the information desk. It was as if his prayer had been answered. Jude joined the line, his ebony eyes boredly wandering over the other costomer's in the store while he waited.
