((lol, I think it's good!))
Ryan laughed lightly, "No really Gwen it's ok." She still hadn't figured it out. Well, he'd have to tell her eventually. He tried to think of a way to say it, he scratched the back of his neck, "You see, well-"
Just then a waiter of course came up. "Hello Mr. Evan's and, who's this?"
"Hey Joel." Ryan responded, of course knowing the waiter. Joel had waited on his family on numerous occasions, "This is Gwen, she's a friend of mine."
"A pleasure." he nodded and smiled, "Well I'll be your waiter this evening, would ether of you like anything to drink other than water?"
Ryan looked over at Gwen, "Ladies first." he smiled.

Gwen smiled at Ry, he was such a gentleman, and so stubborn. Like her father...she smiled even wider at the image of the gruff old man. They were only alike in this small sense and he wouldn't like the comparison at all. She giggled at the thought of him knowing he had been compared to the young thespien sitting across from her. She smiled up at Joel and then looked at Ryan, grin widenning as his chivalry never ended. "I'd like a cherry coke, please, if you have them." She folded her hands in her lap and raised her eyebrows at Ryan, still beaming. "Your turn."

Ryan was still smiling as well. He'd have to tell her about them owning the place later. He looked up at Joel, "I'll have the same."
"Two cherry cokes, coming right up." Joel left to retrieve their drinks.
"So, do you know what you'd like to order? If you have any questions about anything, I'd be happy to help." He almost sounded like a waiter himself. This thought was amusing to Ryan. He could never see himself as a waiter. No, he was destined to be on Broadway. That was his goal. ...him, a waiter? hah!
Another waiter went over to Sharpay's table, "Hello Miss, welcome to the restaurant, what would you like to drink?" The waiter made a face and looked at Sharpay, "Wow, you look really familiar."

Gwen was looking around at the resteraunt when Ryan asked about ordering. She had completely forgotten about food, honestly. This had to be the nicest dinner-outing with a friend she'd ever had. Plus he said he'd pay and they could go dancing!! Could it get any better?
"Nope, no idea!" Gwen laughed. "What's good?"
Truthfully she hadn't even looked at the menu yet. Maybe she should, but her excitement made it difficult for her to focus on one thing for too long. Still, it would be rude not to try. So Gwen flipped open the menu and scanned through. It seemed like they had pages upon pages of uber expensive food of every type. Pasta, seafood, steak. Yum, yum, and yumaroo! Now she was even more unsure of what to get.

Sharpay had been watching them so intently that she didn't even notice when the waiter was by her side. Naturally when he spoke she jumped and dropped her menu to the floor. She saw Gwen look her way curiosly so Sharpay fell to her knees and retrieved the menu.
"Just get me a virgin strawberry dacquiri!" She would have shouted this since she was in a moody and aggrivated state but didn't want to catch Gwen's attention again. So, she whisper shouted at him and shoved the menu at his chest, not caring if he had a good grip on it before letting go. "And make it fast." Shar growled, still watching Ryan and her.[/blockquote]

The waiter was slightly freaked out by this odd familiar person. He jumped a bit and fumbled with the menu. He picked it up and nervously repelled, "Of course." He would have asked her if she wanted something else but, he was far too fearful at that moment to care. He very much wanted his tip.
Ryan put a hand on the top of her menu, stopping her browsing. "Well-" He gently placed it down on the table and scanned from his upside-down view. "Oh!" his finger landed on one of the menu items. He leaned in close, "Have you ever tried, chicken marsala?" This was a truly delightful dish to order at the Golf Club Restaurant. The side items alone were delish!

Gwen looked at the item Ryan was pointing to, looked at him, and then read the description. Breaded chicken breast with tomato sauce, covered in cheese on a bed of- That was all she needed to hear. Gwen beamed at Ryan and nodded enthusiastically, her hair bouncing along. "I want that one!" She giggle and closed the menu, now grinning at the waiter. "Chicken marsupial, please."

Ryan grinned, he picked a good one for her. She seemed the type who would like Italian food. The waiter wrote down the chose on his notepad. He smiled at her mispronounce of the word but, didn't correct it. "And for you?"
He set his menu down on the table. "I'd like the usual."Ryan didn't want to sound weird but, he did want what he usually ordered.
"Yes sir, your meals will be out shortly." the waiter turned on his heal and left with their menus in hand.
Ryan smiled at Gwen, this was turning out to be fun so far. He couldn't wait to show her around the place! "So, what's your dad do?" He remembering meeting the scary man at the front door when he had picked her up.

Sharpay kept watching, her eyes not moving an inch from the pair, even when her drink arrived. She merely picked up the drink and took a sip, waving the waiter away with her hand. It was really frustrating that she couldn't get closer, but even in this get-up there was no way to not be recognized by her twin! Sharpay squirmed uncomfortable in her outfit, only being able to get by because she kept thinking of it as a 'costume'. Still, she was so hot under the scarf and coat. Sharpay loosened the scarf from her neck and lifted the glass to her lips to spot some black lipstick still on the glass. "Gross.." She muttered, pouting at the glass and putting it back down. She hoped this night would go fast.

Gwen smiled at Ryan, raising her eyebrows when he mentioned his having 'the usual'. She tried not to but couldn't help the giggles that spilt from her. He was really a fancy guy, having a 'usual' at an expensive club. Her only 'usuals' were at home; a grilled cheese sandwich and cherry coke. Gwen looked at the drink and her smile returned, this time to herself; maybe she did have a usual, it was like her 'signature drink'. Gwen grinned at the thought, giggling to herself and picking up a straw the waiter had dropped off with the drink. He must have known she'd wanted one, or maybe all expensive restaurants just drowned their guests in complementary straws. He had put one too many.
At the mention of her dad she looked up at Ryan and tilted her head to the side. "He's a policeman... Gwen slowly grinned, a lot of people seemed put off by this, why she didn't know, she was very proud of him. "Chief of, actually." Then the girl stripped her straw with expert precision but left it hanging on, letting it flop at the end. Then she lifted and, fwoop, sent it flying at Ryan's face.

Had Ryan been facing the other way, he would have spotted Sharpay and recognized her right away. Not only as it was part of the creepy twin thing but, he had lived with her long enough to spot her in any get-up. But, Ryan was not facing toward his sister, Gwen was and it was hard to say if she would recognize her or not.
The waiter came by Sharpay's table, "Are you sure you wouldn't like to order anything else?" He followed her gaze to Ryan and Gwen's table. "You probably recognize him from his picture on the wall, and it seems to me he is on a date." This poor waiter had no clue what kind of anger he was unleashing. He'd probably get fired for it later!
Ryan raised his eyebrows at Gwen's answer, "Wow." That did explain why he was kind of scary. "That's-" just then a piece of paper hit his face, a piece of paper from a straw. He looked surprised then he smiled and laughed, "Hey! No fair!" He got his straw and opened it, letting the paper hang off the end, ready to fire. He blew through it to hit her but it just stayed on the end. So Ryan blew harder but, it stayed. He then tried to blow some more but found it very hard as he was now laughing too. "You rigged these straws didn't you?"

Gwen laughed, pleased that her aim had been so spot on. Her dad would have applauded right then. He had taught her how to aim; it had started small with straws and a year earlier, when a boy had asked her out, he had taken her to a shooting range. She had no idea why, the boy said he only wanted to study over a smoothie, but her dad had been very serious about self deffense and making sure she knew all the right moves. His aim had been perfect that day, as he grumbled about 'filthy perverts' and how boys were a bunch of 'animals'.
"It is too fair!" Gwen said between giggles as she grabbed another straw and prepared it, looking anxiously up at Ryan every other moment. She kept expecting to be hit by a wrapper any second, but with each glance she noticed the same thing: Ryan puffing away and the straw limply hanging on the end.
Gwen stopped her 'wrapper battle' preperations and raised her eyesbrows at him, joining in his laughter that he couldn't do it correctly. In fact, when he teased her about 'rigging the straws' her laughter became so abundant that Gwen had to lean over onto the table and bury her head in her arms as she tried to catch her breath. When she looked up she had tears raising from the edge of her perfectly made-up eyes. "I...I did not!" She tried to say between her fits, trying her hardest to put on a serious expression, as if his accusing her was...well, the last straw!

Ryan was already laughing but when Gwen began to laugh this made him laugh more. He didn't know so much fun could be had with just the wrappers of two straws! He took the paper off of his straw and threw it at her, it of course failed to reach her and floated to the surface of the table. "Well, I give up. You win!" he replied. How could his faulty straw ever compete with hers? He stopped his laughter and stuck his unwrapped straw into his cherry cola. "So Gwen, do you have any pets?" He looked up from his beverage at her again.

Gwen threw back her head and laughed, a move that most thought only happened in books. Her back was pressed to her chair, head and hair falling over the top and laughter filling the crowded room. If she was a self-conscious girl she would have noticed the stares and grumblings that they were causing, especially the icy glare of one Sharpay Evans. However, she was in her own little Gwen world; a happy bubble that now included Ryan.
When she sat up, her laughter having died down to a giggle, she wiped at her eyes and grinned at the waiter who politely picked up their trash and avoided eye contact. Taking a cue from Ryan she finally tasted her drink, closing her eyes for a moment as she savored the syrupy sweetness that overwhelmed her taste buds. "Mm," she managed as she swallowed.
"So Gwen, do you have any pets?" "Oh yeah!" Gwen responded, beaming. She loved her dog, and strangely, so did her dad. He had boughten him to be a guard dog but the poor dog had failed at this task. Their mom finally broke the news to him that Golden Retrievers weren't usually the most threatening creatures, and that she had lied to him when she told him otherwise. Still, the whole family adored the goof of a dog, and had raised him from the silly squirrel chasing pup to the silly squirrel chasing adolescent that he was. "His name is Doug, he's a golden retriever. Not much of a kisser but he's such a sweetie. You?" Gwen stirred her soda as she asked.[/blockquote]

(I love that Gwen owns Doug! hehe) Ryan responded, "He sounds nice." he smiled then continued with his answer to the question. He answered it truthfully, "We have koi, some horses...oh, and Sharpay has a dog. He's a pretty spoiled little yorkie. His name is Boi. George takes care of him though mostly." Growing up rich he really didn't find his answer odd.
The waiter came back to their table with there food already prepared. "The chicken." he set this plate in front of Gwen and then set the next one in front of Ryan, "and the usual. Do you need anything else before you begin your meal?"
Ryan looked at Gwen, then at the table which had utensils and napkins. He looked back up at the waiter, seeing that everything was in order. "No, that will be all."
The waiter nodded, "Enjoy!"
Ryan put his napkin on his lap. Wow, the food looked great!
