The room was dim, there was music going and colored lights to go with it. Lava Springs was one of the top places in Albuquerque. People were dancing, eating, talking, having fun. This is where Jordan's office decided to have its New Years Eve party. She entered the club, glad that it wasn't what she expected.
She was wearing dark blue boot-cut jeans and black boots. Her top was a black veeneck teeshirt that showed just a hint of cleavage. She also wore a small necklace around her neck with a green gem at the end of the chain. She had a black leather jacket on as well.
Jordan looked around for someone she knew from her office. She saw a group hanging out by one of the tables. She approached them, "Hey guys."
"Look who decided to come." Said a blonde woman sitting at the table.
"I needed something to do, unfortunately, hanging out with you guys was my only option." She replied crossing her arms.
"Oh, burn!" Laughed Nigel.
"Well, I for one am not disappointed." a dark haired man said as he approached. He smiled at her.
Jordan smiled slightly, "Hey Booth."
((There we go! That was long -_-' Tag anyone. Oh! and Shar, tell me what you think of this post.))

David smiled at her with his his famed crooked smile as she approached. He was wearing a black duster with a deep red button-up shirt underneath. He was also wearing dark slacks and dark shoes. She looked stunning he thought, "Jordan, nice outfit." He said looking her up and down. "So, what would you like to drink?" he offered.

Olive entered the club and looked around. This place was nice! She smiled and approached the bar. She was wearing a cute pink dress (http://www.oldnavy.com/browse/product.do?cid=15292&pid=485865&scid=485865022) with really cute shoes to match. She sat down at the bar and ordered an ice tea. Olive had invited Michael to come with her, she really wondered now if he would show. She took out her phone to make sure she hadn't missed any calls. Nope, hmmm, wonder where he was...

"Hey what about me Booth? Going to buy me one too?" the blonde joked from the table.
Nigel shook his head with a smile, "You've already had enough," he added in a whisper, "leave them be." his British accent shining through. He knew Booth had been after Jordan ever since she joined the branch.
The blonde just rolled her eyes, slightly annoyed with Nigel.
Jordan glanced back at them briefly before turning back to Booth, "Thanks I'd love a drink, how about a Jack & coke? Not too much Jack though, I still have to drive home after this." She laughed slightly, "You don't look too bad yourself." Jordan was being cautious with Booth because she didn't want to get too close to someone again to only have them brake her heart.

(Nice.)
Michael entered looking surprisingly suave. He wore a black suit and deep red tie, his hair was slicked back, but who knew for how long. He glanced around the room, eyes narrowed because of the lights and then found her. In a sea of dull colors was Olive in her pink outfit. He smiled, pleased to have been invited out with her for new years, he was soo good.
"Hey there, Olive, OLIVE you're outfit!" He shouted over the noice, laughing at his own pathetic joke.

((lol, he was so good))
Olive spotted Michael and got up from the bar. "Michael!" She heard his joke, "Olive? Oh, O-live!" He liked her outfit, she smiled and laughed with him a bit at his really lame joke. It really was terrible. Olive was a bit of a blissful airhead so, of course she would laugh. "Do you want a drink?" she held up her ice tea. This should be fun.
((sorry about the shortness))

David smiled slightly at her somewhat joke. She was cute. He nodded his head, "Sure, be right back." With that, he headed over to the bar. He made his way through the crowds and got to the bar. "One Jack and Coke and a Martini." The tender nodded and Booth turned back around and leaned adjusted the bar, waiting for their drinks.
As he waited he watched the near by people, he spotted a blonde in a pink dress and a guy that looked like he wasn't normally this dressed up. He observed all that was going on.

Michael's laughter, which had been dwindling, struck strong again when she began to laugh with him. He smacked the bar and took a deep breath to revive him from his own hilarity. He grinned at the floor, seeming modest. "Just, a little wordplay, there." Which reminded him of a song...of course. "Say, I'm a misty eighty three, they say it's all about the wordplay!" He shouted while rubbing an imaginary record in techno form. He obviously didn't know the right words and was luckily cut off by her drink comment.
"Yes! Olive, I..I-oLIVE a drink..." Michale was trying to revert back to their joke which he would forever think of as an inside one. Just between them. He'd never had an inside joke before. He'd tried with Jordan to start some but she was a stick in the mud. He was glad he was with Olive now. Though he would always think of Jordan as still his.
"I'll take a good old iced tea. They're great aren't they?" He switched from talking to the bar tender to Olive.

Olive smiled and giggled lightly as he reverted back to their joke. Michael was really turning out to be a good guy, well, a good boss, to work for that is. Olive had tried to turn off her emotions but, this had proven too difficult for the bubbly blonde. She had already developed a slight crush on the man. Now this crush was only small as her heart still lingered with the feelings for her past love. A man who wouldn't return her afections...a certain pie maker but, Olive only briefly thought of him for a moment. Then her serious expression was draw back into the reality of the present happiness that surrounded her. "Huh?" she looked at Michael who had mentioned his drink. "Oh!" she smiled and raised her glass, "does a body good!" She giggled before putting the glass to her lips and taking a sip. The bar tender nodded and began to pour Micheal his drink. ((I'm in a writing mood ))

(Yaaay, I love writing moods. ^_^) It was probably a good thing that Olive hadn't noticed his song or referance to their joke. As with most women it might have dawned on her that he wasn't the most mature of men and her warning bells would have been ringing. So, when she drifted into piemaker-land Michael didn't know how lucky he was.
He also didn't notice her lack of interest in his jokes, since he was being Manic Michael and joking with the underpaid barkeep now. When she did respond his smile grew wider and he got his own drink, not knowing how to respond to her joke. He laughed and replied with a meager 'yeah'. Michael took a sip and set the drink down, making a disgusted face and looking at his drink like it was toxic. Truthfully he had never had iced tea before.
"Uck, I think something's wrong with mine...can I taste yours?" He asked, looking at her.

Olive began to bounce slightly to the music that was playing. She looked around and a tall, dark and handsome man at the bar caught her attention. He's cute. she thought. Her attention then turned back on Michael, the sweet and funny man who she had invited to this party.
Something was wrong with his drink, huh. "Really?" she questioned as hers tasted fine to her. She handed him her drink replying, "Sure." Olive didn't mind drinking from the same glass as another, she also didn't find it annoying that he would want to try hers. If her drink was yuck she would probably do the same thing!

David finally received his drinks and payed the bar tender. He looked over at Olive again who seem to be looking at him now. He pretended like he hadn't noticed and took the drinks away from the bar and back over to Jordan. "Here's your drink." he handed her the Jack and coke. He then took a sip from his Martini. "So, how are you?" he asked Jordan. He walked sightly away from the table of their fellow workers, trying to be somewhat alone with her.

(Maybe we should change the name of this thread, lol) "thanks." Michael kept rubbing his tongue on the roof his mouth and looking around the room as Olive tested his drink. That's when he saw her, through the dim but exciting lighting and noise he saw his (ex)wife, Jordan! He immediately stopped rubbing his tongue and after a moment he beamed, turning to Olive and shouting, "Hey, wanna meet my wife?"

Olive first smelled her bosses drink with a suspicious look on her face. It smelled fine. Then she tasted Michael's supposedly tainted drink. It tasted Ok to her too. She looked perplexed as she wondered why he wouldn't like it. The tea tasted like iced tea. She was about to question her somewhat date when he asked a very surprising question of her.
"Hey, wanna meet my wife?"
"Huh?" Olive said in reply, not believing it at first. Of course she hadn't asked him if he was married or not but why wouldn't he have invited his wife to come with them or at least told Olive about it. She didn't really know how to respond, hopefully Michael's wife knew who she was and wouldn't want to kill the cute little blonde for hanging out with her husband. Olive felt slightly dumb for crushing on the man now but at least it was only a crush. Nothing too attached. Olive replied in the only way she saw fit to, "Uh, sure." she agreed. Hopefully this wouldn't be a mistake.

Jordan looked around the room as she waited. The clubhouse at Lava Springs was really nice, she observed. She looked over at her table where her friends were. They were trying not to look like they were watching her but, of course they were. Jo knew that Booth somewhat had his eye on her but, she tried to avoid it. Booth was very nice and very handsome but, there was some funny quirk that was missing. He seemed way to perfect as well and at the same time very shady. No one really knew about his past and he never cared to share it.
He came back over with their drinks. Jordan politely took hers from him, "Thanks. I'm good." she answered him.
