David took another sip from his drink. He then replied to her earlier observation of her well being, "Great." He then went on with a conversation, "This was a good choice of location, for a party...pretty safe, easily located exits, brilliant." He realized who he was with and thought it might sound a bit odd that he had already spotted all of the exits when he entered the room. "Nice lighting too." He then went on to something else, "How's your son doing?"

Michael had already grabbed Olive before she had spoken and began pulling the tiny woman towards Jordan, all the while talking about how great Jordan was and how much they would like one another. Really, he shouldn't have been so enthused with the idea, since it was sure to be a bad one, but Michael was impulsive and thick headed. Not only that but he was optimistic, moronically so. Yet, he had long ago drowned out the tiny warning voice inside of him.
"Jordan! I can't believe this, can you believe this?" Soon Michael and Olive were within feet of jordan and Booth and he called out to Jordan, announcing, or warning, her of their arrival. When he stood besides her he gave her a once over and said, "Wow, Jordy, you look stunning! Whoo, did you have that dress when we were married?" That was Michael for you, totally devoid of curtesy, though he didn't know it.

Booth was immediately annoyed by Michael as he entered their space. He looked slightly confused when he mentioned Jordan and him being married. He looked to Jordan, "And who is this?" He looked over at the blonde who was with him. David could tell she wasn't exactly thrilled to be here ether.

Jordon looked around the room as David spoke about how secure it was. She raised an eyebrow at the end of his sentence, was he an x-cop or something? Who notices that?! Then he asked about her son, maybe she was just being too critical, too iffy after what happened with her marriage. Maybe she should give the guy a break.
She smiled and opened her mouth to answer when, the words wouldn't come out. Her mouth remained open as her X stood there in front of them with some pretty blonde girl in tow. Give guys a break? Phff! The poor girl really didn't look like she had any idea what was going on. Jordan, quenched her anger at the girl and looked to Michael. She could be civil, they weren't together anymore, it's perfectly ok if Michael was with this, blonde! She didn't care! Well, she would put up a front that she didn't at least. "Michael?"
He asked about her dress and she felt her cheeks get slight pink, "Michael!"
David asked who he was. Jordan turned to him, "This is my "X", Michael Scott. David, Michael." She gestured to David.

Olive stood there staring at each of the people there. She could sense the tension, especially when Jordan said "EX- husband". This couldn't be good. She would be seen as the other woman even though she was not, although she might like to be but probably shouldn't and wouldn't end up as.
After some rather angry exchanges and an introduction of the other man who was standing there, Olive spoke up, "Hi." she smiled although fearing the reaction she might get from Jordan. "I'm Olive." She held out her hand to Jo and then followed up with, "I work with Michael, in the office, cause that's where people work and that's all we do! heh heh."

Ah, now he understood. This man was the father of Jordan's child and her Ex-husband. He hadn't a clue why they had broke up or who had insisted upon it but, he could guess where the blame had been placed. David didn't quite get why Jordan would choose Michael but, that didn't matter now. She had let him go.
"Michael, nice to meet you." he nodded. He then turned his attention to the stunning little blonde next to him who had spoken up. "Pleasure to meet you as well." David smiled slightly.

Michael didn't notice the warning or irritated edge in Jordan's voice; he had been married to her, after all, so he was probably used to it. Instead he laughed heartily and shouted (over the music), "Oh, come on, Jordy, we're much more than 'Ex's! We were married!" Inconveniently the music stopped and switched to another song as Michael shouted inappropriately, "She's quite the minx, if you know what mean." Several people glanced their way with questioning eyes but Michael kept on smiling, his hand resting on the small of Jordan's back. The music started up again and Olive was introduced.
"I'm Olive." He turned with an 'oh' and gestured at his colleague. "This little firecracker is Olive, my assistant." He still was tickled pink that he had an assistant and said it with emphasis, as if it were the coolest thing in the world. "She assists me as I work." "I work with Michael, in the office, cause that's where people work and that's all we do! heh heh." He gave her a 'puh-lease' look and said, "Oh C'mon Olive! She makes a helluva pie, too! She brought me some the other day!"

Olive couldn't help but giggle like a air headed school girl when David turned his gaze onto her. He was handsome. She thought her introduction might had saved her from becoming public enemy number one with Jordan. She didn't want the Ex-wife to get the wrong impression. She hoped what she said to correct Michael's assistant comment had worked. Olive didn't believe Michael meant any harm by his statement. The man probably had never had a personal assistant before and wanted to show off the fact that he now did. He really wasn't very bright on how he did it though. Olive thought all would be well after her bumbled reply but then...
"Oh C'mon Olive! She makes a helluva pie, too! She brought me some the other day!"
Olive glanced at Michael with wide eyes, the poor dope was just digging a deeper hole! "Ha ha!" she laughed nervously. Olive definitely wasn't going to lie, no more crazy secrets for her! So, she continued, "I make pie because I used to work at a pie shop although I didn't make the pies for the costumers because I was a waitress but I would make them after hours sometimes for my own enjoyment which is why I made the pie for Michael, uh! well it was not for my enjoyment uh- because I made it originally for me, to enjoy and- oh Swizzlesticks!" Olive stopped, this was getting crazy, "I brought some pie to work for lunch and offered to share some with Michael." She was glad that was over.

At Michael's loud statement Jordan put a hand to her forehead and sighed. She was actually used to Michael doing things like this so it didn't shock her to much. If they weren't on such bad terms she probably would have joked back but, they weren't on good terms and Jo didn't know when or if they ever would be.
She suddenly felt a familiar spark go through her. She wasn't quite sure why till she glanced over and realized Michael's hand was on her back. They had always had that spark. There story was quite a romantic one, the way Michael had relentlessly pursued her and was absolutely sure she was 'the one' he was going to marry. Well she was and they were married till...Jordan didn't want to think about it anymore, it was over. She turned and shifted away from his hand, there, the feeling was gone.
Then, the little blonde spoke up. She had a sweet voice and demeanor about her. Maybe she was just a nice girl after all. Then Michael had to say something... "This little firecracker is Olive, I disagreeistant. She assists me as I work."
...all thought's of the girl just being "nice" were gone! Jo couldn't believe how upset she was with this blonde. She probably just associated her with the girl who ruined her marriage. They then contenued...
"I work with Michael, in the office, cause that's where people work and that's all we do! heh heh." Michael interjected, "Oh C'mon Olive! She makes a helluva pie, too! She brought me some the other day!"
Jordan had a look of, 'did you seriously just say that?' on her face and blinked. "Pie?"
The blonde seemed just as shocked as Jordan was and she went on to explain just what Michael was talking about. Jordan stared at her as she explained everything. The girl didn't stop for a breath! "oh Swizzlesticks!" Jordan raised a brow at this unusual exclamation. "I brought some pie to work for lunch and offered to share some with Michael." Jordan liked this explanation much better. "Oh. How thoughtful." She was somewhat stumped as to what to say next. She kinda didn't want to be around Michael right now but, didn't see a quick way out since they were at the same party...unless she needed to leave. She could do that. Although, the house was probably empty and lonesome. Jo didn't like how quiet it was. Well, she would have to figure something out.

David thought this conversation to be one of the strangest he had encountered. He knew that Jordan was suspective of the blonde being more than an assistant and Michael wasn't helping his case. The blonde really didn't want to be the object of Jordan's scorn. When the 'pie' had been explained David changed the conversation topic as he could see Jordan was clearly agitated, "Michael, so I heard you were in the paper business, did your company move you here?"Jordan had mentioned Michael and so David did know some brief information about him.
