Ryan Evans stood in the hallway of East High school. He was front of his locker fiddling with the lock to open it. He scrolled through the numbers entering his memorized code that unlocked his school storage unit. Thoughts poured through his mind of the many things that had happened that day so far.
One good thing was he had managed to avoid Chad. It seemed the b-ball player was avoiding being seen as well. Ryan was pleased with this and he smiled as he opened his locker and placed a book inside. He then checked himself in his locker mirror, tilting his hat ever so slightly to the side. 'Fabulous!' he thought as he was looking much more healed over since his battle with b-ball boy.
He had talked to Sharpay earlier about maybe going to Cat's Corner after school and getting some swing dancing in. He thought it might be fun to invite some of the other Wildcats but, he didn't think Sharpay would be too thrilled. The thought of dancing also brought up the thought of the school dance that was coming up. He still didn't know whom he would be going with but, he knew that he had to be there. After all, a dance without Ryan Evans really wasn't much of anything.

Zooey Summers walked through the hallway. Her first couple of days at school had been interesting, to say the least. She had managed to make one enemy and one friend, all in one day! She approached her locker brushing some of her blonde mess of hair out of her face. She glanced over at Ryan, she really had no clue who he was. Perhaps he was nice, she honestly couldn't tell, he obviously had the bucks due to his wardrobe but, that didn't make him a snob. She decided to at least say hi, it couldn't hurt.
"Hey!" She said with a friendly smile, looking his way.

Ryan had no clue that he was being spoken to. He was still lost in his thoughts. He then noticed the slight shadow cast on him and realized it had been a voice that he had heard. He was still getting accustom to speaking to people he never would have spoken to in the past. People still had a hard time talking to him as well because he was an Evans, a name most people feared.
Ryan turned and saw a girl, a girl he had not yet met. He looked slightly surprised to be spoken to but smiled and responded, "Hey!"

"Sorry if I startled you..." Zooey had noticed the look on his face of surprise. The boy must have been in deep thought not to have noticed her approach, of course, he was facing his locker too which was probably the main reason. "I'm Zooey Summers." She smiled.

Ryan rarely had people walk up to him and introduce themselves, probably because Sharpay would stop them with her killer glare. Sharpay wasn't here now though and Zooey seemed eager to greet him. He really hadn't noticed her around school. He didn't know anything about her. Ryan just decided to be nice since she seemed like a nice person. "Im Ryan...Ryan Evans." He continued, "So you're new around here, huh?" It was ether that or she was one of the invisibles around school that he and Sharpay never noticed.

"Yeah. It's only been a few day now so I guess that's still true." She replied. Zooey wanted to meet more people and make more friends since her brother did say he would try to not let them get kicked out of this school. She hoped he wouldn't try to burn the school down or anything. Zooey used to go to West High until her bro got himself kicked out so the folks decided to move them both to East High, as it was much easier if they both went to the same school, less forms and such. "Sooo, I assume you're not new, what do you like to do around here?"

"Well, theater. The drama club...East High's got a pretty good program." He replied. Ryan shut the locker behind him with a book in his arms. He put the book into his messenger bag. "We have a lot of different clubs and sports. What do you like to do?" He leaned against his locker.
((Yeah... this is short >.<))
