The Evans house was pretty empty, as usual except that one occupant remand. Ryan's was laying on his bed listening to show tunes as he held ice against his cheek. Yesterday had been pretty ruff. He had visited the doctor who had given him some pain relievers and told him it would take a bit of time to heal. No, this was not what Ryan wanted to hear! With additions in the near future and the dance coming up!
He sighed, bored of being stuck inside, by himself all day. He was told he could go back to school tomorrow if he wanted to and tomorrow couldn't come soon enough. He wondered what plan his sister had hatched and how she would carry it out. He was always her partner in crime. Now he couldn't be there and it was killing him to know what she was up to! How would she get back at Troy and Chad? He sat up looked at his cell phone. He texted his sister, 'Hws it goin?'
He of course was quite bored still and stood up, getting out of bed. He stared out the window. When your best friend was your sister sometimes you wished you had someone else to pal around with too. More often then not, your sister is pretty busy sometimes, even though his sister was busy with helping him he still felt pretty lonely. He looked back at his phone, no responds from Shar yet...hmm well, what about Gwen? He picked up his phone and texted her, 'Hey Gwen, sorry I'm not at school...Hw r u?' he bit his lip, what else to say? Well, suppose he would wait.

(should I reply here or in the school?)
Gwen sat in the cafeteria, she hadn't bought anything to eat, finding herself not hungry after hearing the rumors of Ryan's 'beating'. She felt sick with worry and couldn't stand to even look at food, the smell was making her nausious. Quietly she slipped to the front grounds and sat on the steps. Her usually glowing face dim for lack of a smile. Tentavily she flipped her phone open and closed, wishing Ryan or someone would text her so that she wouldn't be quite so worried.
Bing! Hey Gwen, sorry I'm not at school...Hw r u? Her phone flooded to life with the new message and she instantly set to texting him back.
It's ok Ry...how r U???

((lol, no, it's ok)) Ryan sighed and then, "BRING!" It's ok Ry...how r U??? Her responds appeared on the screen. He smiled slightly, his face was still swollen so it hurt to smile too much. He pondered his reply, he didn't want to scare her...yet he didn't want to lie ether... he texted in a reply. I'm still sore, but hopefully I'll be back in school soon. Wht's going on there? Have you seen my sis? He waited for her reply and sat down on his bed. At least he had someone to talk to now. ((This thread doesn't have to be too long now that we kinda fastforwaded and Ry is back in school))

Ryan's phone BRINGED! again and he opened the new text, it was from Sharpay. He was happy that she could text him back. He read her message and was confused, Huh? Principle? Y were u in there? He wondered if this was part of the scheme to get back at Troy and Chad.

At the mention of his sister Gwen unconcsiously made a face. Why would he ask her about his sister? She was, in Gwen's mind, the person Sharpay hated the most in the whole school. And all because of a shared outfit...it was so stupid. Good, we miss u here. Nothing much, just the usual. No, havn't seen her, sorry. She said, wanting to have made it more interesting...but nothing new had happened, so she couldn't lie. Lying was wrong.

Right after he sent the last text a new one appeared. Wow! He was a popular guy today. He opened the message from Gwen. He smiled slightly, people missed him...Gwen missed him. She hadn't seen his sis but, that was ok now as Sharpay had just told him where she was. That's ok, just wondering. Miss U 2! Well, at least I'm not missing out on anything spectacular. Still wish I was thr...Ryan really didn't know what else to say, he really wanted to say something more but, nothing came to mind. He wanted to invite Gwen over but, he wasn't looking his best so that would be embarrassing to him.

Ryan's phone chimed again, It was an angry reply from Sharpay. Obviously some of her plans hadn't gone well. He sighed and wished with all his heart he could be at school at that moment and not stuck at home.
Oh- ok...
((I did it again...mwaha))

He missed her! Gwen stopped walking and just beamed at her phone. She didn't know why this made her so absolutely giddy, she felt like jumping. So she did, for a moment. Then she replied. Ya, nothing funs bn going on. Just some kids having a tiff in the halls. U hvn't missed much. Gwen remembered seeing the 'fight'. Some new kids she didn't know were mad 'cause a girl was yelling at them about her phone falling, or something. Fighting was so pointless. Gwen really didn't like confrontation.

You haven't missed much... she texted to him but Ryan indeed felt like he had missed a lot. He didn't enjoy being stuck in bed, segregated from the world. He wanted to tell Gwen this but for some odd reason he felt like he could not. He blinked and stared at the screen. He then replied: Well, keep me posted ((It's pretty boring at home.))

Gwen was still beaming at her phone when she texted back, You betcha. Just as she was going to hit the send button and continue to her next class Gwen paused, her thumb hovering over the button. She'd been in a daze all day, worrying about Ryan, and hadn't learned a thing! What was the point in even bothering to sit in class and worry? She'd still be all nervous about him, even though she knew he was okay enough to text her...but still.
Gwen retracted her thumb and snapped her phone shut, not sending the message. Instead she ran to the parking lot and jumped into her dad's cop SUV. He only let her borrow it to drive to and from school or for emergencies. She sort of wished he'd give her their other car; everyone drove under the speed limit when they saw her in this intimidating cop car. Gwen never really got it, her dad, the cop, drove to the station in his normal car and switched with her when she was home.
By the time she had finished think that she was almost to Ryans street. Gwen had a fairly good memory and remembered where he lived when he'd told her what seemed like ages ago. He hadn't told her what house, though..
Ry, what does your house look like?? She texted him, after safely pulling over. Her dad would've freaked if he knew that she had her phone on at all in the car. Actually he would freak mostly because she was ditching school to go hang out with a boy...

Ryan layed back down on his bed and stared at the ceiling. He held an ice pack to his eye and sighed. He wondered what he could do now. He decided he would try and venture down stairs. Ryan got up and walked out into the hall and down the stairs. He made sure to do this slowly so not to injure himself further. He entered the living room and sat down on the couch. He looked at the tv a moment before deciding to grab the remote and turn it on.
He put the guide up on the screen to find something when his phone beeped. He looked at the odd message Gwen had sent him about his house. Ryan texted a reply, It's a big 2 stry house with a cobble stone driveway & drk brwn extirier...Y? He was perplexed as to why she would want to know this.

(I love how he describes the house in full detail!) Gwen sat next to a very attractive and very large house, bouncing in her seat and chewing her lip. Maybe this hadn't been the best idea. Her dad would totally kill her if..no, when he found out. He was like one of those dogs that sniffed out drugs, but instead of sniffing out pot he could smell deceit. But she wouldn't have been learning anything at all in school! Surely he could understand her wanting to see a sick friend whom she was worried about! (Though Gwen wasn't thinking about the fact that the friend being Ryan, the boy she'd gone on a sort-of date with, would be important to him.)
As she waited and bounced several people passed by, all dressed in the finest jogging wear with their pure-bred pups. They peered at her through designer eye-wear with suspicion. Gwen felt confident that they shouldn't be suspicious of her, since she was in a cop car, but they most certainly were. The cheerleader didn't notice their shifty glances and grinned and waved sweetly.
Finally her phone lit up and she flipped it open happily. When she finished reading, Gwen-Stacy looked up to see which home matched that description. Funnily enough she had already parked besides it. So, she happily jumped from the car, startling the suspicious joggers and dog-walkers into going faster, and moved up the driveway.
Knock Knock She typed, sending it just before she rang the doorbell.

Ryan's phone beeped again, indicating another text message. He looked at the screen and opened the new message. It was from Gwen, Knock, Knock! "Wha-" Just then the door bell rang. Ryan set down his phone with the cryptic message to answer the door. The maid was doing laundry and ironing off in some other wing of the house so she didn't even hear the door.
He got to large door and swung it open, hoping it wasn't someone who would suspect child abuse or something weird for his injuries. His parents weren't home enough for there to ever be any abuse! Ryan stared in shock as he saw who was at the door, "Gwen?!" He was happy but at the same time he really did not want her to see him like this. Yes, he had some vainness in him and really didn't want anyone to see him all beat up like this. But, for some reason this was especially true for Gwen. Ryan got his barrings and added, "Um, hi!"
