Chad blinked once as Gwen-Stacy suggested they share the gym. As much as he liked cheerleaders, he didn't like the idea of giving up half the gym to them. "Share..." He muttered with a slight scoff.
He started walking back toward Troy and Liz. His temper was starting to cool down once again until he heard Ryan strike up some more friendly conversation with Gwen-Stacy. He swirled around again when Ryan asked if he could see a few moves.
"We don't have time for that!" Chad called out, exasperated. "The guys will be here any minute, and when they get here we're gonna start practice. Cheerleaders or no cheerleaders."

Troy looked between the small crowd that started forming in the gym. He sighed when he heard that Gewn Stacy was planning on holding a cheer practice, nodding slowly as he tried to figure out a plan to make this work.
He ignored whatever Ryan said, looking at Chad when he spoke up. He chuckled under his breath when Chad seemed confused about the fact they may end up sharing the gym. He turned back to Gwen Stacy and nodded, "I guess, we could just play half court" Troy said with as shrug as he turned to Chad. "But the guys should be here soon.." he continued, continuing to ponder on the situation.
((Sorry if that didnt make much sence ><))

Gwen paused, her face frozen as she thought about showing Ryan some of her moves. She didn't know why that made her so nervous, normally she would've chirped, 'sure!' and done some somersaults right away. Maybe it was because he was an actor and she was intimidated, or it could be because she always felt nervous around Ryan. Which didn't make sense... Gwen realized she had paused for what had seemed like a long time and shook her head, thus coming back to reality. "Um, sure, yeah!" She smiled brightly, trying to ignore her stage fright by reminding herself that it was her turn. 'Her turn' meaning that when she had put Ryan on the spot within the first hour of their meeting he has jumped to it and performed for a room of strangers. All of the people in this room were her friends. So, Gwen shook out her muscles and prepped for a cartwheel by lunging and stretching her arms high above her pretty blond head. Just as she had shifted weight and was in motion for the handstand portion of the cartwheel Chad burst, "We don't have time for that!" And down went Gwen, all of her grace having face planted along with her to the gym's floor. As she lay prostrate she blushed, realizing once again how absurdly klutzy she was and how the girls could enter anytime to see her kissing the floor. Plus she had totally blown her cartwheel/back flip/splits combo that was gonna blow Ryan's socks off. Sad day. Maybe she should get up... "It needs some work, huh?" She mumbled good naturdly, flipping to her stomach and sitting up with a smile.

Liz sighed as Chad rolled his eyes. Chad wasn't really a big sharer of the court and especially with cheerleaders. When Ryan asked to see a few of Gwen Stacy's moves , she swore she saw Chad swirl around so fast. She sighed as Chad start yelling , confused on why he had to share the court. She chuckled a little under her breath at Chad. Liz nodded at Troys suggestion to play half court. " Yeah that's a good idea , T." Liz nodded her head , looking at the watch , confirming that the guys were coming. Pretty soon the team would be filled with the Boy Wildcat's and their coach , her dad.

Chad stared as Gwen fell flat on the ground halfway through her cartwheel. He turned the other way instantly to stifle his laughter. He couldn't help but let out a few chuckles over the complete gracelessness of her trick. Chad turned back around, still grinning widely from his amusement, and nudged Troy with his elbow gently. "By the looks of things, it seems like they need this gym to practice more than we do." He teased in what he thought was a quiet tone.
Chad's eyes widened slightly as he heard Liz say that sharing the court was a good idea. "Whoa, hold on a second! Basketball team calls dibs! Coach won't be too happy when he finds out that we have to share the court with a bunch of..." He shot a glance back at Gwen, and motioned his arm towards her. "...cheerleaders!" Chad crossed his arms defiantly in his classically stubborn manner.

Troy sighed as he tried to figure out an alternative to the dillema. If only it wasnt raining, then the Wildcats could go pratice outside, he thought about this a bit more before seeing Gwen-Stacy fall to the floor. He smirked slightly, tyring to hold in the chuckles that we're forcing there way out. He turned to Chad when he was nudged and nodded, "Seems like it" he said, keeping the smirk on his face.
The smirk soon faded when Chad spoke up again, "Dude, didnt you just say they need the gym more than we do?" he teased quietly. He then looked at Gwen-Stacy, "Do you think we can get a quick game in before your team arrives?" he asked her a slight shrug, knowing the guys will be arriving in a few minutes. "Otherwise we can just play the cheerleaders" he joked with a slight laugh.

Ryan watched Gwen as she got ready to do a cartwheel. She was really concentrating on this and just as she began to execute her cartwheel Chad broke her concentration with loud words. She tumbled to the ground and Ryan ran over to her, being concerned. "Are you ok?" he said, kneeling down to her level. "It needs some work, huh?"
He smiled slightly and replied, "You just needed to warm up some more." He offered her a hand to help her up. Ryan heard Troy and Chad stifle some laughter and exchange muttered words. He heard something about the cheerleaders but, brushed it off as he hadn't heard the entire statement. He stood with Gwen as he helped her up.
The basketball boys were bickering whether or not they could share at which Ryan rolled his eyes. Honestly, it was school property not jock property. Then Troy suggested them playing before the others got there. Ryan believed this to be a good idea. He looked to Gwen to see what she would say.

Liz heard what Chad said and hit him in the arm , lightly and tried to stifle a little laugh. Gwen Stacy was a little clumsy but Liz was also , it wasn't anything to laugh about. She rolled her eyes at Chad being stubborn about sharing the gym. Liz nodded her head with Troy's idea. " That sound's like a good idea , Troy." She said with a little smile looking over to Ryan and Gwen as he extended a hand to help her up.

Chad crossed his arms across his chest as Liz smacked him gently. He was obviously not thrilled about sharing the court. However, it seemed he was a bit outnumbered. Troy was, of course, being the nice guy he was by trying to think of a way to solve the situation. Everyone else appeared to think he had a good idea. Heaving an over-dramatic sigh, Chad pouted slightly. "Fine... but coach isn't gonna be too happy. Neither is the rest of the team!"

Gwen felt warm when Ryan rushed to meet her and smiled automatically at his chivalry. "I'm fine, and you're right. That's why I'm here." She slipped her hand in his, liking the fit though not consciously realizing how the sensation felt so nice and made her heart flutter. She added it up to the adrenaline of the fall and stood, dropping his hand, heart beat slowing to normal. She unconsciously rubbed her palm on her skirt.
"Whoa, hold on a second! Basketball team calls dibs! Coach won't be too happy when he finds out that we have to share the court with a bunch of...cheerleaders."
Gwen's smile faltered, her sensitivity getting the best of her. If she had known Chad she could have let it slide off of her, since he sort of whined about everything if it didn't go his way. But she didn't. Besides which, Gwen was a people pleaser, she liked being on people's good sides and tried everything she could to make everyone happy. At the thought of letting people down she thought of Sharpay, the girl who apparently hated her... Gwen frowned as she remembered the pretty blond who hated her. The boys conversation turned into mumbling in the background. Gosh, no one had hated her before. To make matters worse she was sister to gwen's best friend.
Her dark eyes glanced quickly at Ryan, surprise written across her face. She wasn't used to such deep internal thoughts of her own, let alone an epiphany (of sorts). Ryan was her best friend... She had always had fellow female cheerleaders as friends and yet here was Ryan... Something shifted in her and she felt that same strange warmth and fluttering. It was nice...but weird. Slowly Gwen looked at Ryan again and this time let her gaze stay, studying her best friend.

Ryan spoke up, "Instead of just talking, how about you guys play." He looked to Troy, "I think you guys will probably have time before they get here." He could see Gwen was tensing from this whole situation and how she just wanted to make them all happy. He understood the feeling completely, after all, he did live with Sharpay, who was very hard to please at times.
He glanced at Gwen, hoping said had helped to resolve this conflict a little. Ryan then added, "Gwen and I can wait on the bleachers." He didn't want to leave her just yet and thought it might help her to have someone to talk to as she waited.

Post by Cordelia Valentine on Sept 30, 2009 19:26:52 GMT -7
Cordelia Valentine was head cheerleader of the cheer squad at East High. She was one of the many monarchs of the school in its struggle of the popular vs the even more popular. She entered the gym with the rest of the cheer squad in tow. They unfortunately couldn't practice outside today as it had started raining. She immediately stopped when she saw Bolton and his friend there. She had thought there wasn't any basketball practice until next hour. She then spotted who else was there. Troy's little sister, her name escaped Cordelia as the girl wasn't on the need to know list. Gwen who was a part of her squad and the drama dork brother of the drama queen, Ryan. Her eyes narrowed as she saw how close Ryan was standing next to Gwen. Just what exactly was happening here? Gwen mustn't know any better yet.
Cordy decided to deal with one thing at a time. She walked forward and smiled, "Hello Troy, would you guys mind if we used half of the court for our practice? It's still raining outside or otherwise we'd be out there. It will only be an hour long."

Chad stood with his arms crossed, still not pleased about the decision. He glanced toward the doors when he heard someone step inside. It was Cordelia Valentine, the head cheerleader. Chad's grimace grew deeper, attempting to visibly show his disappointment. Although he'd never admit it in public (or around Taylor), Chad had always thought Cordelia was the hottest girl in school. But with the worst attitude. At times, Chad thought she rivaled Sharpay in that department.
"Oh, great," Chad scoffed to Liz as Cordelia approached Troy. "Now we've got more to deal with! Doesn't anyone care about our practice?"

Troy sighed, the basketball team always had first 'dibs' on the gym, since it was there territory. But thanks to mother nature, suddenly everyone wanted to use it, and it all started with Ryan Evans. Troy looked around the forming group until he saw the head cheerleader approch him, in which he let out another sigh.
"Uh..we we're actually going to have a game running until the rest of your team arrives" he explained, looking at Cordelia. "You can have it once they do" he said, looking over at Chad quickly, noticing none of the team had arrived yet. "We're just having a quick game of one on one. Doesnt take too long to kick Chads butt" he said with a slight shrug, hoping to ease some of the tension that was floating around the gym.
Troy never was the one who let anger get the best of him, but the whole situation was proving wrong. If someone else suddenly decided they wanted to use the gym, it wont just be rain falling from the sky.
((hope that made sence!))

((It did )) Cordelia looked at the three other cheer leaders that were with her. Them plus her and Gwen only made up five members of the squad. That meant five more were missing. One of those five was her best friend Harmony. She had talked about practicing in the gym at the cheer table during lunch so all of the members would know. No one would have an excuse. She looked back at Troy, she supposed that would be alright. They could stretch on the sidelines while they had their game. She nodded, "Alright, you can have your game. They should be here shortly. We'll stretch on the sidelines while we wait." She replied, Cordelia didn't mind since Troy was right, her whole team hadn't shown up yet. She hoped they would get their full hour of practice in when they did. "Thanks Troy." she smiled and then turned to her fellow cheer leaders. She dismissed them to the side lines while she walked over to Gwen. "You're early. Fabulous to see you're committed. You should join the other girls, we're going to stretch a bit before we start." She put a hand on Gwen's shoulder and kept her eyes on her, willing her to obey. She then turned to Ryan, her friendly tone changing completely ,"I don't understand why you are even in here. Do you want to get beat up again?" She shook her head and then said in a cool tone, "I suggest that you leave drama dork, now."
